Very low-key session in which I did only a little actual adventuring, really—and a lot of crafting to work on leveling up.Continue reading “In Which Merawen Continues General Adventuring”
Another “general adventuring” type session! Details behind the fold.Continue reading “In Which Merawen Explores Yngol’s Barrow and Narzulbur”
I boinged around a lot in this session, but in between all of the fast traveling, I did actually also revisit the main plot! Which meant taking the Dragon Elder Scroll up to the top of the Throat of the World, learning Dragonrend, and having the first round of fighting with Alduin.
And Alduin was only one of the dragons I fought in this session, though unlike the two Revered Dragons and the Ancient one, he actually survived the fight!
Next to that, doing the Mind of Madness quest and getting the Wabbajack from Sheogorath was a relaxing vacation. :DContinue reading “In Which Merawen Finally Fights Alduin and Also Acquires the Wabbajack”
Another “general adventuring” kind of session, with the two main points being finishing the quest to get the sword for the ghost in the Old Hroldan Inn, and then going to Volunruud and getting what I’m pretty sure is my last available Shout word off a Word Wall.Continue reading “In Which Merawen Recovers a Ghost’s Sword and Goes to Volunruud”
This was another “wander the land” session, doing what Paul tells me he calls “general adventuring”. The idea here being, wander around and see if something interesting happens!
And in this session’s wandering, I encountered what’s possibly the most delightful NPC encounter in all of Skyrim I’ve had to date!Continue reading “In Which Merawen Battles the Chicken Necromancer”
This session was yet more “let’s see if Anna can find more new things to do before she has to commit to finishing up the main plot” action! Answer: yes, yes I could find more things to do.
Main action of this session was the Rise in the East plot in Windhelm, but I also explored three areas that were new to me, Yorgrim Overlook, an Abandoned Prison and a cavern system called Darkshade.
And, got in plenty of crafting and magic practice!Continue reading “In Which Merawen Battles Pirates and Explores the Land”
This was a big crunchy session, with three main overall things I did: running the Angarvunde dungeon, doing the Cursed Tribe Daedric quest, and finally properly clearing Arcwind Point.
Killed not one, not two, but three Revered Dragons. Fortunately not all at once. And now I have a very, very large hammer. As well as an increased appreciation for using magic both offensively and defensively!Continue reading “In Which Merawen Aids a Treasure-Seeker and the Largashbur Orc Stronghold”
Another low-key session as I continue to look for remaining things I can do before I finish out the main plot. Main action of this run was going to High Gate Ruins for the quest called A Scroll for Anska, but I also got in some exploration along the northeastern coast of the Sea of Ghosts, and found some spots I hadn’t found before!
And I reset my Smithing, and did a boatload of creation of things and purchasing of training to work on building it back up.Continue reading “In Which Merawen Explores North of Windstad and South of Riften”
I was in the mood for a low-key and frivolous session, now that I’m between doing Dragonborn and finishing up the main quest. So for this session, I mostly boinged around a lot between various places, moving resources around, buying more resources, and working on building Windstad Minor.
But I also did one of the most frivolous Daedric quests in the game: A Night to Remember, which features the Daedric prince of debauchery, Sanguine!Continue reading “In Which Merawen Has a Way Livelier Night Than Anticipated”
This session was actually a couple of smaller sessions on the same day with a break between, but for purposes of this post, I’m still calling it one session. And this cycle of play started fairly low-key—but finished with a bang!
Because I finally became thane of Hjaalmarch, not a terribly difficult thing to do when I was level 65. And then I finally finished up the main Dragonborn plot, and took out Miraak!Continue reading “In Which Merawen Becomes Thane of Hjaalmarch and Also Defeats Miraak”
