In July of 2013 Dara and I took a weekend trip to Harrison Hot Springs in British Columbia, so that I could attend a tiny music festival and see De Temps Antan play!
The weekend was entirely delightful and I documented it in these posts:
-
- Harrison Hot Springs BC July 2013 trip, Day 1: Getting here
- Harrison Hot Springs BC July 2013 trip, Day 2: De Temps Antan, Round 1
- Harrison Hot Springs BC July 2013 trip, Day 3: De Temps Antan, Round 2
- Harrison Hot Springs BC July 2013 trip, Day 4: Heading home
- Two more fun pics of me and De Temps Antan
Here’s the album of all the pics! They’re ordered by which photos were actually used in posts, and then everything else.
Harrison Hot Springs: More Day 1

Actual Phone Booths
Looking back from 2020 I'm not sure exactly why I took this pic, but I'm pretty sure it was because I was surprised to see actual phone booths at one of the rest stops on the way north to Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Neat-Looking Tree Stump
This was another rest stop shot, I think, taken as we drove north to Harrison Hot Springs on the first day of the trip. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Neat-Looking Tree Stump 2
Slightly farther back shot of the same neat looking tree stump. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Big Cedar Stump Sign
Ah yes, and here's the sign that actually explains the neat-looking tree stump. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Oh That's What Kind of Stump It is
Another angle on the cedar stump, including the sign that explains what type of cedar it was. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Road Scenery 2
This was another of the shots I took out our car's front windshield, on the way north to Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Not a Typical Cow 2
The more distant shot I got of that large inflatable cow we saw on our drive to Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Bear Statuette
This was one of the various little statuettes and figurines on the grounds of Heritage House, the B&B we stayed at in Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Harrison Hot Springs is Not Large
I think this was me taking a shot sideways along the road we crossed from the B&B to get to the actual beach at Harrison Hot Springs? Taken on July 5, 2013.

Harrison Hot Springs is Not Large 2
Second along-the-road shot at Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Lake Sunset 4
This was me moving to the right with my lake sunset shots, and with the different angle, the sky is bluer here. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Lake Sunset 5
One more of the lake sunset, because I was really more or less doing a panorama shot here, right? Taken on July 5, 2013.

Lake Sunset 6
Continuing to pan right with the lake shots. This one includes more tree! Taken on July 5, 2013.

Lakeside Tree
Tail end of the lakeside panorama sweep. More direct shot of the pretty lakeside tree. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Lake Harrison
Because if you're going to go to a little resort town by a pretty lake, you're going to get a lot of pretty lake shots, right? Right. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Fish Sculpture
There was a lot of sculpture to be seen around Heritage House, the B&B we stayed at in Harrison Hot Springs. Like, say, this fish sculpture. Probably salmon? Taken on July 5, 2013.

Harrison Hot Springs
This was me turning around at lakeside, looking back towards the main street of the little resort town of Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Dinner with Jean-Claude
Jean-Claude, of course, got a place of honor when Dara and I had our dinner at Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Mammoth Snout
Under no circumstances is Jean-Claude about to hoover up anything with his trunk. Nope. Definitely not. Taken on July 5, 2013.

WaterwayCreek
A little bit of a waterway Dara and I found while exploring Harrison Hot Springs on our first night there. Pretty sure this is one of the feeder creeks that direct water from the source of the springs to the various pools in the resort? Taken on July 5, 2013.

Rocks
Another shot of the scattered rockfall Dara and I saw while exploring Harrison Hot Springs our first night there. Taken on July 5, 2013.

The Source
A sign describing the history behind the founding of Harrison Hot Springs, and the site of the original bathhouse. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Log in the Water
Log in the water near the site of the original bathhouse at Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Wall of the Pumphouse
Part of the side of the pumphouse at Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Wall of the Pumphouse 2
Another view of the pumphouse at Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Wall of the Pumphouse 3
Another shot of the pumphouse at Harrison Hot Springs, in no small part just because I thought it looked neat. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Inside the Pumphouse
We couldn't go inside the pumphouse at Harrison Hot Springs, but we could look through the openings in the wall! This is a shot of what I saw. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Lake Missile
Now I'm pretty sure this was me trying to shoot a bird lifting off of a log sticking out of the water. But it sure does look like somebody fired a badly angled missile at the lake! Taken on July 5, 2013.

KEEP OUT
Another sign Dara and I spotted while exploring Harrison Hot Springs, near the pumphouse, on our first night there. Taken on July 5, 2013.

Wastewater Treatment Sign en Français
The French half of the sign for the wastewater treatment station at Harrison Hot Springs. Taken on July 5, 2013.
