Site update

We didn’t really expect to go on this long of a hiatus, folks — or, rather, I should say that I didn’t expect the updating of this web page to go on such a major hiatus. But although life interfered with the posting of Jam Reports to a rather hefty extent these past couple of months, Three Good Measures has continued to jam. And I’ve finally managed to take enough time to post the first of three Jam Reports on the way: Jam #55.

Y’all will also notice that I’ve given the site a face-lift as well. I was tired of the old look, and wanted something more colorful and a bit smoother looking in appearance. Plus, I’ve done some re-organization of information; all the news updates from 2001 and 2002 are on their own page now, for the curious who’d like to be able to look at older things that have happened to us.

I have also rearranged the Jam Reports. They’re organized by year now, and on individual Jam Report pages you should be able to see links to all the Jam Reports in that year both at the top and the bottom of the page. I’m hoping this will help with navigation in general and make it easier to browse the Jam Reports. I’ve also done some tweaking under the hood; y’all may notice that the URL format for a given Jam Report has changed. For the technically inclined out there, I’ve done some PHP tweaking which will hopefully make it easier and faster for me to get new Jam Reports up.

Anyway, happy new year all. We’re still here and still jamming, and hopefully I’ll be able to update this thing more often!

Site update

No folks, we haven’t dropped off the face of the planet — we are in fact still here, and we finally had another Jam! This one’s even posted on time. For your reading enjoyment, I now present Jam #53.

Site update

Three Good Measures, or at least a significant portion thereof, has now played in public. The musical details (as well as a few details of the wedding itself), may be found on my Livejournal!

And in honor of Monica’s new status as a married woman, her entry on the Bios page has been updated accordingly! We have also tweaked on Mimi’s and Dara’s instrument lists, as they can now say with assurance that they have used flute and vocals, respectively, in a TGM performance.

And as promised, Jam #52 is now up! The next Jam Report will be a while, folks, as we are doing more wedding rehearsal all this week — and the 15th is the wedding. We will, for obvious reasons, not be jamming on that day. Watch this space, however, for the word on how it goes!

Site update

At last! At last! The Eludium PU-36 Explosive Space Modula–ahem. Er. Sorry, folks, wrong cartoon. ;)

Contrary to what might be evidenced by the silence on this site as of late, we have in fact not stopped jamming; it’s just been that the Jam Reporter has been extraordinarily lame in posting the Jam Reports! As of tonight, at any rate, I am proud to finally get Jam #50 and Jam #51 posted, and today’s Jam Report will be coming post-haste. Inspiration to finally get this done was provided by a prod in email from one of our Alert Readers, who wondered where the heck we’d been, and who cunningly crafted his inquiry to me in haiku form. It is now duly enshrined on the Haiku page.

As is mentioned in the new Jam Reports, though, the major new news we have going for us is that we will in fact be playing in front of Actual People, at Monica’s upcoming wedding! Congratulations to the Happy Bride will be gratefully accepted via our Contact Form, as well as as much encouragement as those of us who will be playing for her can get.
