Log Date: 2/11, 2/12/97 Log Cast: Tance, Kesya, Kirin Log Intro: Tance Vokrim has spent many of the last several days working busily through a hundred years' worth of datapad files, looking for clues to his past -- and to a mysterious pendant he feels is somehow connected with something his mind keeps telling him he needs to remember about his mother. But pressing though this is on his consciousness, another pair of needs eventually return to make themselves felt -- that of trying to pull himself out of debt, and that of cutting the crystal that'll help him do just that. Restless and frustrated at his inability to coherently delve through so much old information -- and find ways to make it relevant to his fogged memory -- Tance impulsively determines to get into the Ranges. A search for Kesya determines that she's immersed in her Trainer duties. Tance is reluctant to interrupt her, and anxious to contribute something to their partnership; he decides to at least find another claim for them to cut, while failing to remember the coordinates of the last black claim they'd found... and also failing to remember the advisory issued by Guildmaster Maxwell about no Singers flying out alone. Taking his new sled out for the first time, Tance is struck with a feeling of nostalgia that surprises him not only for its strength, but for the fact that he's having it in the first place... and the feeling compels him to christen his sled _Meguey Radmynn_. Taking the _Meguey_ out into the Ranges, he begins to hunt.... .... but to his dismay, the first likely spot he finds bears green crystal. It takes him a mighty effort to stagger back to the sled and get onto the comm for Kesya to come and help him, lest he lose himself in thrall.... ---------- Tance's sled This sled has been cleaned to within an inch of its life: someone has taken a scrub-brush to every inch of upholstery, paneling, and carpeting in sight, and the nearly blinding glimmer of all the metallic surfaces around you suggests that the cleaner probably killed more than one scrub-brush in the process. Not only has the sled been cleaned, but every piece of machinery has been relentlessly re-tuned as well: the catering unit is restocked, the control panels all respond promptly to commands of voice or hand, and the latrine has been transformed from a proto-lifeform back into a mere location for the discreet handling of bodily functions. This is a 1 person capacity sled. There is room in this sled for 5 cartons, 1 have been checked out. The console is off. The speaker is off. The auto-scanner is on. A small metal plate is fastened to the upper left corner, you can just make out "Meguey Radmynn" scratched into the surface. The weather is fine. A good day for flying. ( Type 'sled help' to see available commands. ) You hear a rustle from outside your sled, and footsteps approaching. To Bog - Broad Expanse, Tance calls out, "(raggedly) Jade...?". You hear a voice answer back, footsteps quickening. Soon a familiar green-skinned face peeks in the hatch. "Tance! Thank goodness I found you.. are you okay?" Kesya has arrived. Kesya comes the rest of the way in, immediately coming to you to give you a hug. As she withdraws, her pale silver-blue eyes look you over critically. "Shards, but I was worried about you..." Tance sits slumped at the controls of this unfamiliar sled, arms wrapped about himself; as you clamber into the vehicle, he looks up, apparently with great effort, and the moment you touch him a palpable *zap* flashes between you. "I... found green..." Kesya bites her lip at the look of you, her gaze clearly troubled. "We have to get you back, Tance. You're ready to broadcast." Green fingers touch your cheek, and Kesya frowns at the sensation of resonance in you. "I'm buzzing pretty bad myself, but you... I don't want you getting any worse than this." You can feel the crystal resonance hot in your blood. Tance grimaces, and says troubledly, "I... had to wait for you. Had to wait. Said. Wanted the green...." Kesya curls her arm around your neck, giving you another quick hug. "How come you left without telling me?" she asks softly. "I would've come with you... or... figured /some/ way..." Tance's skin seems to almost crackle beneath your forearm. He lifts plaintive brown eyes to you, and protests, "Busy. You... been busy, girlie. W... wanted to... help. Help look for crystal." Kesya worries at her lip again, her gaze dropping. "Gads, I'm sorry Tance. I should.. I should've spent more time with you." She looks up at you, her hands protectively along your shoulders. "Can you fly, do you think?" "I..." Tance frowns bemusedly at the control. "Different. Sled's different..." Kesya looks around her, not understanding. "Different? Oh... this is your new sled, right?" Tance looks up at you bemusedly. "I... I don't remember, Jade... I..." That does it. Kesya sits behind the controls of the sled, and pulls the safety harness about you. "I'm flying us back," she declares. "*You* need a tub before you fry your neurons." Tance swallows, and doesn't protest as you buckle him in, save to mumble, "O... one seat. One seat. Can't both fly." You feel a very disturbing thrum beginning to build in your blood, sliding along your nerves. Kesya makes a rude sound in the back of her throat. "Damn. Right. I'm so used to using mine. Do you mind if we leave yours here for a few days? We'll come back for it." Tance's brow furrows; his mouth struggles with a reply before he finally stammers out, "I... I gotta.... get away. Feel the green. Gotta go. Go now." Kesya quickly unbuckles you, grabbing your hand. "My sled then, now. You can rest, I'll fly. Let's go." She tugs you out the door, her green fingers twined around yours. Kesya has left. You step out from the cramped interior of the sled "Meguey Radmynn." Bog - Broad Expanse The air is foggy with moisture in all directions, cutting visibility down to the hand in front of your face. Any lights turned on just reflect back in their holder's face, blinding rather than helping. After just a few minutes in the miasma, your clothes are soaking and you can just feel your wrist unit beginning to rust. The ground under your feet is really soft, such that your feet sink in almost to the tops of your shoes in places. Other parts are firmer. To the west, you see the horizon turn darker where the ground reaches up to touch the sky in what is probably a wall of some sort. There are no distinguishing characteristics in any other direction. Contents: Kesya Kesya's sled Tance's sled Obvious exits: Darker Horizon Plains Tance staggers after you, barely hanging onto his cutter. Kesya steps into the airsled "Twilight's Ambition." Kesya has left. Kesya's sled This small, neatly-apportioned sled has apparently recently been visited by a person possessed by the Gods of Cleansing Solvent. The benediction of the aroma lingers even now but more so the sheer dazzling brilliance of every fitting, bolt, and surface in the sled. The bedding is done with crisp precision, and there is no so much as a hint of anything oxidized on any of the cutter fittings. The safety couch has apparently had its top several microlayers lifted off, and the undersurfaces liberally treated with polish. The latrine area in particular has been sterilized - you half expect it to be covered with an air-tight plastic shrinkwrap. This is a 2 person capacity sled. There is room in this sled for 8 cartons, 0 have been checked out. One of the special new engines has been installed, allowing for greater speeds. The console is on. The speaker is off. The auto-scanner is on. A small metal plate is fastened to the upper left corner, you can just make out "Twilight's Ambition" scratched into the surface. The weather is fine. A good day for flying. ( Type 'sled help' to see available commands. ) Contents: Kesya Kesya grins back at you, and helps you settle yourself in. "Does this sled seem more familiar?" She then sits herself in one of the pilot's seats, flipping a few switches. Tance staggers into the _Ambition_ in your wake, absent-eyed, hair fluffed from the resonance flooding his body. He just watches you dolefully by way of reply as you get him sitting down and strapped in. That silver-blue gaze regards you with obvious concern, and the green-skinned singer mutters to herself as she gets ready for flight. "Sooner we're out of here, the better..." It's obvious she's completely dismissed the thought of crystal on this claim, but she does glance at you again, quizically. "That carton empty?" Kesya looks at you for a moment. Tance stares down baffledly at the carton he'd been clinging to. "Wh..." Tance scowls at it, then finally blurts out unsteadily, "Didn't... didn't cut. Didn't. Remembered. Had to wait. Wait for you. Wait for Jade. Don't cut green..." Kesya nods to herself, stowing the carton away quickly. "I know," she soothes as she returns to the console. "I know. You just rest now, okay?" She straps herself in after checking on your own harness, and powers up the sled. [Kesya gets her vehicle into motion, flying it as hastily as possible away from the boggy, marshy claim.] Tance slumps back against the seat, head jerking a little from side to side every so often. Kesya glances at you worriedly, her hand tapping at the throttle as though trying to make the sled go faster. [And in short order, they draw near to the JPF....] Kesya glances over at you as she positions the sled over the hanger. "Tance?" Tance starts, as if you'd just come up behind him and yelled 'Boo.' Kesya rests one hand on your shoulder as she begins her descent, hoping to reassure you. "We're almost back." Kesya brings the sled to a halt. Kesya shifts the control bar, and the sled turns to the left. Kesya nudges the control bar, speeding the sled up. A buzzer goes off and the scanner light shows green, indicating that a landing spot has been found. Kesya brings the sled to a halt. Kesya brings the sled to a gentle landing. Kesya takes your hand, unbuckling your harness. "Tance? C'mon, we'll get you to a tub, okay?" Tance blinks rapidly at you, then nods, jerkily. "Tub," he mumbles. Kesya nods, and tugs you out of the sled. "C'mon. A good long soak and you'll be just fine." Kesya has left. You step out from the cramped interior of the sled "Twilight's Ambition." Hangar Floor The immense cavern that serves the guild faces the eastern sky. The blue sky merges with the harsh browns of the long plain of the Joslin Plataeu far to the east. The smoothly tiled floor is scarred by myriad gashes and scratches caused by wind-tossed sleds. The northern and southern walls contain over-large double doors while the western wall is set with observation windows. Looking around (+view), you notice several signs posted. The hangar is bathed in red light so as not to disturb the night vision of the pilots or personnel. Outside the hangar, Shilmore rises honey-colored and Shanganagh follows closely as they trek across the starry sky. Contents: Tance, over by the wall. Kesya, standing by the sled rack. The Hangar is the largest area of this level. The sorting floor is the most active. Several multicolored and textured stripes run through the corridors indicating functional areas. "Got a big tub in my suite," she answers, "So we're going there." She flashes a reassuring smile at you, though her own gaze looks worried and troubled. "You'll be okay." Is she trying to convince you, or herself? Kesya goes through the White Quadrant exit. Kesya has left. The crystal resonance in your body is growing louder and harder for you to ignore. [And finally the pair reaches Kesya's suite....] The door slides open, and you step inside. Kesya's Suite Plush carpeting cushions your feet, the doorway leaving you in a short hallway and closet area before leading into the main suite down shallow hardwood steps. The whole area is done in multi-levels, brilliantly polished hardwood mixing with a thick ash-grey carpeting. The lights are currently are fairly bright, though dim enough that shadows obscure the corners and crannies in the room. Several doorways lead off from this large living room, leading to dining area, office, sleeping area and den. Simply decorated, the huge suite nonetheless exemplifies Kesya's success as a Crystal Singer. You notice the entire left wall is covered with semi-qpaque screens that hide the bathing room. These display calmly shifting scenes of Taal'en terrain. The screens display a starry night sky above a small lake, a small campfire flickering to the right of dark forest trees. Every now and then, if you pause to watch, you can spot a shooting star flash across the screens. Contents: Kesya Radiant Bath Obvious exits: Out *Zap*. The green Singer stumbles in after you, still blinking over and over as if trying to focus his eyes as he moves. Kesya speaks to the computer as she enters, and as she moves to the bathing area, the opaque screens that form the wall move out of her way. "Computer, fill the radiant tub, hot please." She gazes worriedly at you, and helps you into the bathing area. "You aren't as bad as you were before, so I don't think Shankill would help much... how are you feeling?" Tance considers this gravely, giving a few more dazed blinks as you take his cutter away from him. "Buzzin'," he mumbles. "Head's buzzin'." Kesya tugs at your zipper after placing your cutter safely away. "Well, once you start soaking, you'll feel better," she assents. "You have to give me a hand here though, 'cause I'm sure not going to undress you myself. Unless you want to get in the bath fully clothed?" And here she arches her brows, giving you a teasing smile... though her gaze still remains serious, worried. Tance adds huskily, "I keep... feelin' the green..." Tance blinks yet again, this time at you. His mouth curves absently as you start fiddling with his clothes, and he does move to help you, though his hands are jittering as he does so. Kesya grits her teeth, tugging the shipsuit off your shoulders. "I know, I know..." Her voice cracks, mouth twisting as she fights to remain self-controlled. _He's fine, he /will/ be fine, just needs a soak is all... really!_ Tance's thin body, unclad, pours resonance into your palms as he is undressed. For once, though, he's come in from the Ranges unharmed; there's no sign of bruises anywhere on his body, and all that mars his skin are old crystal scars. Radiant Bath This is a large, cobalt blue tank. It is deep and long; plenty of room for an adult to stretch out their legs. The top edges round gently outwards. The head of the tub sprouts an unusual number of taps and dials. This tank provides shoulder harnesses and leg restraints for 2 people. The tank is filled with a thick, radiant liquid. There is room for two people to enter the tank. The fluid is pleasantly hot. Kesya quickly prods you towards the bath, trying to be as helpful as she can without laying her palms flat on your skin.. for as she's resonating pretty heavily herself, the sensation isn't exactly pleasant. "Just rest there, okay?" The crystal resonance in your body is growing louder and harder for you to ignore. You slide into the tub, forcing your sore muscles to move just a bit more. You may want to 'slip on harness'. You slip the harness over your shoulders to prevent slipping beneath the fluid. Outside the bath, Kesya leans against the edge of the tub, seeming more relaxed that you're now immersed in the fluid. "Better?" Tance exhales, a long sigh, as the hot stuff comes into contact with his flesh; his eyes nearly drop shut in relief, and he bobs his head in jerky agreement. You sink to your chin, the radiant fluid heavy against your skin. Outside the bath, Kesya chuckles softly, moving her hands around to massage at your shoulders. "Good," she sighs relievedly. "You really had me worried." Tance mumbles, "I just" -- and then, as you start working at his shoulders -- "mmmm -- I just.... wanted to help find crystal..." Outside the bath, Kesya's soft laugh reaches your ears, and you feel a gentle touch on the top of your head as she leans forward to kiss you. "I appreciate it Tance. But... I didn't think we were supposed to go out alone anymore, 'cause of some of the recent singer injuries." Tance stirs a little, then blinks at you bemusedly. "Wh...?" This to the words, not the kiss; dazed though he looks, his expression softens a bit at you. Warmth penetrates into your weary muscles as you float in the viscous liquid. Outside the bath, Kesya repeats softly, "I remember Maxwell urging Singers to go duo because of something attacking folks in the ranges." She sighs softly, resting her cheek atop your head, her hands on your shoulders. "But you're okay, so no harm done I guess." A soft laugh follows. "You wouldn't believe some of the inane places I stopped at trying to find you." Tance's head lolls back slightly into your touch, and he murrs throatily before struggling to get out, "Don't... remember the message. Head's fuzzy. Kark it...!" Outside the bath, Kesya hastily resumes her massaging of your shoulders, trying to calm you a bit. "It's okay, really.. they should've told you in the Hangar. It's okay." Your stress melts away as the thick, warm liquid penetrates into your tired muscles. Tance trails off with a sound that starts off as a grunt and slides into a sort of almost-purr, thrumming unconsciously in the same timbre as the resonance in his skin. "Like..." he breathes, then tries again, "Like that." The crystal resonance in your body is growing louder and harder for you to ignore. Your mind drifts aimlessly as the stress of work becomes like a dream. Outside the bath, Kesya finds herself smiling at your reaction, and continues kneeding her thumbs into your back. "Now see," she jokes, "This is the sort of treatment you just wouldn't get in the infirmary." She leans forward, peering to see if you're drifing off to sleep. Tance does seem absent-eyed still, but his mouth has settled into a relaxed smile. "Remember the Infirmary," he mutters. You feel relaxed and rejuvenated while you float in the tub. Outside the bath, Kesya continues massaging your shoulders, relaxing even as you do. [As Tance drops off into an exhausted, resonating doze, Kesya keeps a worried eye on him....] You feel resonance tingling in your bones. Outside the bath, Kesya, sitting slumped in a chair by the radiant tub, stirs. Blinking sleep from her eyes, she foggily looks about the room, frowning as she gets her bearings. But as she spots the tousled mop of hair over the rim of the tub, she finds herself smiling slightly, and she stretches before standing to get a better look at Tance's sleeping face. Outside the bath, Kesya's wristunit beeps and she listens to it carefully. You can just make out "... sorry to... I... a..." Outside the bath, Kesya's wristunit beeps and she listens to it carefully. You can just make out "If you're not..." Outside the bath, Kesya curses softly, treading out of the room to respond to the recruit where she won't disturb Tance. Outside the bath, Kesya speaks softly into her wrist comm. You can just make out "What is it?" Outside the bath, Kesya's wristunit beeps and she listens to it carefully. You can just make out "... noticed that... left... ship. Is... I... need it?" Tance stirs slightly in the radiant tank, but does not wake. Outside the bath, Kesya speaks quietly into her comm unit, her voice barely audible in the next room. Outside the bath, Kesya speaks softly into her wrist comm. You can just make out "... She'll..." Outside the bath, Kesya's wristunit beeps and she listens to it carefully. You can just make out "... just... know.... Thank..." Outside the bath, Kesya speaks softly into her wrist comm. You can just make out "..." Outside the bath, Kesya steps back into the bathing room, her feet silent on the tile floor. A soft sigh, and she shakes her head, sitting next to the tub again. Her gaze softens as she looks at the sleeping singer, and she rests a hand gently on his shoulder to test his resonance. Tance retains a palpable -thrum- just under his skin, but less than before. His face looks strangely younger -- not boyish by any means, but a far cry from the old age he often claims. Time away from the Ranges, and an improved diet courtesy of your own catering unit, has eased the gauntness of his cheeks, and the radiant fluid may even have softened, just a bit, the weathering around the corners of his eye and mouth. Outside the bath, Kesya withdraws her hand, as she feels resonance pass from her body to yours in the brief contact. Rubbing one hand across her eyes, she stretches a bit before folding her arms across the rim of the tank, her hand dragging in the warm fluid. Her gaze traces across your face, her own expression thoughtful. Outside the bath, Kesya, now that Tance is asleep, can take this opportunity to examine his looks while he doesn't have the chance to start blushing and turn away. He's got a rugged, rogueish look to him, though while he's asleep like this, he does have a sort of gentle, boyish appeal. An amused smile touches her lips, and she rests one hand on the Singer's head, smoothing down tousled hair. He gave her quite a scare, heading out to the Ranges like that. But too, it brought forth an issue she hadn't been wanting to think about... she _can't_ stay protective of him, despite what could happen to his memory otherwise. She can't hold him back, despite the fear in her gut that he may forget her after cutting his crystal. Sighing, she rests her chin on the tub, her gaze never leaving that soft, sleeping expression. You can detect some crystal resonance in your bones. Tance's grey-streaked hair, too, has been softened by the soak in the radiant tank, and bits of it climb to your palm as you touch it. He sighs a bit, shifting his face back towards you, and mumbling something unintelligible... and stirring, perhaps in automatic response to the lowering temperature of the fluid in the tank. Outside the bath, Kesya's fingers run through your hair as she absently looks across the room, thinking of, perhaps, your recent trip to the Ranges and the planned trip to Syrene. But as you stir, she freezes, her gaze dropping to you. One hand trails in the cooling fluid, but presently she gets up, and soon returns with a tray of food. Tance lets out a low sigh, and lifts a hand slowly, fumbling at the side of the tub. Outside the bath, Kesya sets the tray on a nearby chair, and pulls a big, fleecy towel from the rack on the wall. "Feeling better?" she asks softly. Tance opens dazed brown eyes that track across the stretch of ceiling visible overhead, then finally down to you. That gaze brightens a little at the sight of you, even as he begins, blankly, "When... when did I get here, Jade?" Outside the bath, Kesya drapes the towel over your shoulders, leaning to gently kiss the top of your head. "Last night. I went out to find you, and you were pretty buzzy." She ignores her own resonance of course, quickly continuing on. "So.. we came here, and you've been in the tub for about twelve hours now." You slip out of the harness. Tance fumbles his way free of the tank's harness, letting the towel soak up excess fluid as it trails out of his hair; carefully, he begins to climb out. He blinks a bit as he does -- but not jerkily, as he had been doing, simply confusedly. "Don't remember," he mumbles, embarrassed. You step from the tub, the radiant liquid sleeting from your rejuvenated and revived body. Kesya's Suite Contents: Kesya Radiant Bath Obvious exits: Out The sensors detect that the tub is empty and drains the spent liquid automatically. Kesya's gaze drops, but she manages to retain a smile for Tance's sake. "S'okay," she says lightly. "Not much to remember. We flew back, you soaked." As you emerge, she wraps the towel around you. "But you're not nearly so buzzy now.. more like yourself. That's good." Tance smiles, hesitantly, one side of his mouth quirking up. "Thank you...." He leans in towards you, wrapping an arm around your shoulderblades.... and his brow crinkles a bit, at the lingering _thrum_ between his flesh and yours. "You okay, Jade?" You can detect some crystal resonance in your bones. Kesya nods hurriedly, her arm wrapping about your waist. "I'm fine Tance.. just a little buzzy m'self, is all." She rubs a bit at her forehead, but smiles. "But I can usually handle it pretty well.. it's just... annoying." Changing the subject, she gestures towards the tray of food. "I brought some munchies in for you.. figured you'd be ravenous." Tance takes both your shoulders in his hands, looking over at you consideringly, brown eyes a little liquid. "If it's annoying, you should soak," he pronounces. Kesya presses her lips together, brows furrowing a bit as her attempts at distracting you failed to work. "Well sure," she says, "But there's more important things to do." She smiles tentatively, giving you a fond poke in the chest as she avoids your brown gaze. "Like eat." Tance _does_ glance longingly at the platter of tidbits, at least for a moment or two; one thing remains consistent with this man, he is easily tempted by food. But he looks back at you, quirks another lopsided grin, and tells you slyly, "I'll eat if you soak." Kesya casts you a wry smile, her mouth twisting as she surpresses a chuckle. "You've got me there," she concedes, stepping over to fill the tub. "But there's no way I can spend twelve hours in here." Again she rubs the back of her hand over her eyes, distracted by the resonance in her system. "And here I thought I was the one looking after you," she teases. Kesya turns the left tap on the tub and it begins filling with a warm, thick liquid. The tub is now half full. The hot, flowing liquid finally fills the bath and the tap shuts off automatically. "Buzzin' like that, girlie," Tance points out sagely, "you can't do much for me. But you done a lot bringing a hungry man food." He grins at you, a trifle more broadly, then starts scarfing snacks while just standing there wrapped in your towel. Kesya chuckles dryly at you, pausing at the tub edge as you start wolfing down food. "I guess I can't argue with that logic," she murmurs to herself. Then, stepping out of her shipsuit, she slides into the warm radiant fluid with an audible sigh. Kesya eases slowly into the bath. Kesya has left. From the radiant bath, Kesya slips the harness over her shoulders to prevent slipping beneath the fluid. Tance, ostensibly not looking at you, peers nevertheless sidelong towards the bath. From the radiant bath, Kesya stretches her lean legs out, relaxing in the bath. "Remind me," she murmurs, "Not to stay too long in here... 'k?" Tance chuckles sheepishly, hastily redirecting his attention to the food. "Remindin' me of somethin's kinda like reminding Mach storms to be loud, Jade," he points out. And sneaks another look over his shoulder. Tance then smirks at himself. "Or quiet. Or somethin'. Hah." From the radiant bath, Kesya can be heard sighing to herself, evidently not having allowed herself to a soak in a radiant tub in quite some time. She can't be bothered to crane her neck around to look at you, and remains motionless in the viscous fluid. "Mrm," she murmurs. "I dunno... you usually remember things I tell you. Some not, but... most things." Tance turns around, as he munches on a stalk of something green; swallowing it, he says casually, "I remembered to wait for you...." You feel the resonance tingling in your blood. From the radiant bath, Kesya stirs a bit, lids fluttering open as her lips curl just a bit in a smile. "Yes, you did..." Her voice is a soft murmur. "I'm really glad you did, Tance. I never thanked you for that." Tance, it seems, has come up on the tub just behind you, and he looks down at you with that grin tugging at his mouth. "It was _hard_," he tells you, sounding almost proud. From the radiant bath, Kesya moves her limbs in the viscous fluid, looking up at you for just a moment before settling down again. "I know. I don't know if I'd have been able to do it, if I had a claim of black before me." She reaches one hand up to the rim, searching for yours. "You're strong, Tance." Tance leans over enough to take your hand in his, his gaze on your face sharpening. That grin's still there, though. "I been inspired, girlie," he murmurs. From the radiant bath, Kesya soundlessly chuckles to herself, eyes still closed as she relaxes in the tub, her green fingers curled around yours. "Are you insinuating," she teases, "That /I/ had something to do with that?" One silver-blue eye opens as she sneaks a peek at you. "Insinuatin', nothin'," comes Tance's husky, amused reply. "I ain't exactly a subtle man, y'know, Jade." From the radiant bath, Kesya snorts softly, gently squeezing your hand. "Sure you are. It's hell trying to read your expressions sometimes, you know." She grins to herself, hidden by her thick sea-green hair. Tance's eyebrows go up, over his brown eyes; since when is his gaze so alert? Still grinning, he asks blandly, "That a fact? Anything I can help you... clarify?" You feel resonance tingling in your bones. The crystal resonance is zinging through your body. From the radiant bath, Kesya's lips twist into a wry smile. "Nah," she says lowly, "It's fun trying to figure out what you're thinking behind those dark eyes of yours." She glances up at you again, just for a second, and stirs a bit. "Mrmph. Fluid's getting cold already." Tance leans over a little further and says archly, "Soooo.... whaddya think I'm thinkin' now?" From the radiant bath, Kesya freezes, arching her neck just enough to gaze coyly up at you. A wry smile touches her lips, her blue eyes on your brown ones. "Well, I'm not sure..." she muses. "Usually it's easy." She slips out of her harness, feet finding purchase on the tub's bottom. From the radiant bath, Kesya slips out of the harness. Tance poises himself such that as you move, you can't help but meet his gaze squarely. And he tells you teasingly, "Wanna guess?" From the radiant bath, Kesya arches a brow, her hands on the tub's edge, shoulders only visible above the opaque fluid. She pauses, evidently feeling a little self-concious. "I'd say by the expression on your face," she guesses slyly, "That what you're thinking isn't exactly wholesome." And she pulls herself closer to the rim of the tub, narrow brows arching. "I don't suppose you're going to let me out?" Tance purrs -- when in the _world_ did he learn that expression, that tone? -- "Am I in your way?" You feel resonance tingling in your bones. From the radiant bath, Kesya's eyes narrow as she regards that all-too-confident expression of yours, her mouth twisting as she surpresses a smile. "Not at all," she says airily, tossing her hair behind one shoulder. Grasping the sides of the tub, those blue eyes lock on yours as she stands, radiant fluid sleeting off her body. One green-skinned hand reaches towards you, palm up. "Towel?" As you stand, Tance rocks ever so slightly back on his heels, eyes widening just a trifle as well -- and is that a blush crossing his face? But he flicks a devilish glance down at himself, and offers, "I got a towel right here, girlie..." From the radiant bath, Kesya places one palm on your chest as she steps out of the tub, nudging you back just enough so that she's got room to step onto the tile from the bath. Her tone is amused, her arms crossed over her chest as she speaks -- perhaps she's not so confident as she'd have you believe? "It's not doing much good around you, is it?" Tance starts to grin; he opens his mouth for perhaps another sly comeback, and his hand poises there at the towel. But something stays him, and his cocky look wavers a little, even as his gaze stays on you, shifting from bold back to a more usual, more typical shyness... but not _quite_. He does grin, then, quirkily, lifting up an edge of the towel and telling you, "It's a mighty big towel." From the radiant bath, Those green brows arch slyly, and an amused, mischievous glint comes to Kesya's eyes. "Are you suggesting we share?" "Duo partners," Tance explains brightly, "share stuff, right?" From the radiant bath, Kesya can't help but chuckle at your logic, and one arm drops as green fingers twine around the edge of your towel. "I'm going to be air-dry by the time you decide, Tance." Her gaze drops to your lips, and she leans forward just a bit. Tance rocks slowly back to the front of his bare feet, his own regard making that same slight dip yours does, half-liddedly. "Don't wanna make any... hasty decisions..." From the radiant bath, Kesya sobers, one hand going to her bare hip. "There /is/ another towel behind you," she points out, moving just a bit as though to brush past you. "If you're so attached to that one." She winks, reaching for the rack behind you. Kesya climbs from the tub, the radiant liquid dripping from her body. Kesya has arrived. The sensors detect that the tub is empty and drains the spent liquid automatically. Tance's arm comes up, though, brushing along yours, en route to curling about that hip. The grin plays along his mouth again, even as his gaze seems a hint unsure. "Time for a hasty decision. Hope you don't mind." The crystal resonance is zinging through your body. Kesya finds herself held from her previous course, and her face shows evident surprise as she glances back at you. Tance has never acted quite like -this- before... but she quickly smothers the surprised look with a pleased half-smile, her blue eyes searching yours. "I don't mind at all," she murmurs lowly, arms circling your shoulders. "But it /is/ cold when you're soaking wet, you know.. you'll have to sacrifice that towel." You feel the resonance tingling in your blood. Tance, staring at you with a captivated look, now, moves both his hands to undo the towel from his middle. You can see him redden a little, and can hear his breath quicken slightly, as if his pulse is speeding up. "Whatever will I do without it..." Kesya murmurs a silent 'thankyou', twining the towel around her back and arms like a cape, her arms looping around your shoulders so that the towel encompasses you as well. "Much better," she says, though you can feel her hands trembling a little on your neck. "Warmer." "Warm's good," Tance murmurs in reply, arms sliding around you to rest against the small of your back. His head leans in towards you... though you can feel him shaking, too. He lifts his gaze back to you, though; then, it is quite clear that he's nervous, for his brown eyes have begun to fill with an anxious, uncertain kind of yearning. Kesya's fingers play with the damp hair at the nape of your neck, her blue gaze on yours as she takes a pace closer. Swallowing, her gaze never leaves yours, her expression unguarded... uncommon for her. Lips parting, she leans forward to give you a simple, soft, unassuming kiss. [Fade to black, and end log.]
