Although several book characters appear in this log, it is from Savah's point of view. ---------- Hall of Memory A circular room containing a low bench. The high domed ceiling soars up into restful shadows. Framed by a circle of painstakingly worked stainedglass is a chair, lovingly shaped from silky smooth stone. The floor is painted pale blue and inlaid with tiles of russet and opal in a circular pattern. From the high ceiling are suspended fringed tapestries on either side of Savah's chair, with a multitude of pale pastel square panels patterned with floral designs. A carpet of scarlet fabric with a gold border lies at one edge of the room beneath Savah's chair. A soothing, many-colored light emanates from the colored glass panes of Savah's chair, a visible sign of her magic. Contents: Murals Obvious exits: Ahdri's Chamber Savah's Chamber(S) Out(SE) Ahdri quietly enters from the dancing square. Ahdri walks in quietly, eyes worried. Ahdri A river of sun-gold locks with hints of brown flow in curly whisps to her shoulders. They part to reveal soft black eyes the regard you calmly. Skin, soft, yet tanned from exposure to the sun. Her movements are graceful and ever silent. She dons a soft yellow dress that drapes about one shoulder and ties off in a sash at her right hip, flowing about her lithe form. Around her neck is a necklace of metallic gold, and matching earings with the daystar's pattern hang from her lobes. Around her head is a gold band, keeping the curls tame. A devoted handmaiden, she is never seen far from the Mother of Memory. Carrying: Bracelet Ahdri is quiet, afraid to disturb your meditation. Ahdri sighs worriedly, watching you. Savah looks up from her thoughts. And smiles gently. "Do not look so concerned, Ahdri. Tell me, what is all this talking outside?" Ahdri blinks, "Savah! You awake?!" Ahdri says "They are all gathered. We were worried for you.." Ahdri moves quickly preparing water and bringing a goblet to you. Savah smiles as she accepts it, and sips a little. "They would do well to worry less over what cannot be changed. I am well, Ahdri. How is the village?" Ahdri smiles slightly, "As I said, worried. If you are feeling up to it, I think your presence would do a world of good, Mother." Savah rubs at her forehead a moment, then smiles. "I will trust your judgement on that, Ahdri." Ahdri smiles as well, "Thank you, Savah." Ahdri stands quietly beside you...watching your every movement. Savah raises her head slowly. Cutter locksends ** Savah.. it's Winnowill.. ** Ahdri looks suddenly to the door. Ahdri says "Did you hear that?" You say "Yes, Ahdri. She is here." Savah stands slowly from her chair. Ahdri blinks, looking back to you. "She...oh..oh no." You say "Come." You enter the dancing square. Dancing Square A wide paved square surrounded by brightly colored pavilions and canopied platforms. Gaily colored banners and paper lanterns hang from poles at the corners in the bright afternoon sun. Cool winter winds dip to ground level from time to time. Clear and warm for a winter afternoon, only a high mare's tail wisp of clouds indicates the season..and the subtle caress of moisture in the air. Children and pets scamper through the square and the scents of something cooking in the pavilion entice you on the soft breeze. Contents: Sunhowler Sharrill Woodlock Winnowill Tyldak Skitterpaw Mender Desert Cat Cutter Dart Leetah Darkrunner Whitepaws Drum Obvious exits: Garden Canopy(E) Savah's House(NW) Boundary Path(S) Crossroads(N) Ahdri steps out of Savah's house. Dart casts a quick glance to Savah. Winnowill Her hair is long and black, lustrous, the highlights of the blue rich and gleaming in the light. It cascades in long, smooth waves past her feet, pooling on the floor, framing a long, pale, etherally lovely face. A small gathering of flowers are ticked into the locks, sharp in contrast. Her gown, covering little more than the smooth curves of her torso, is black, the fabric clinging to her pale skin, emphasizing her height and grace. Her eyes are calculating, missing little. But she looks tired, dry, caked with dust but hard and determined. Dishevled hair and loostening seems attest to a long journey. Savah steps out of her house, followed by Ahdri. Slowly, she walks closer, then stops. Tyldak takes several steps, standing near Savah Ahdri follows Savah out, eyes wide as she glances about. Stoutheart arrives from the crossroads with a faint smile still on his face. Tyldak looks to Savah, then back over at Winnowill, silence reigning golden over him Woodlock goes south. Mender immediately moves to stand on Cutter's other side, declaring hotheadedly, "You'll have to go through us if you expect to do antyhing to Leetah! " His grey eyes flash. Leetah meets her pale sister's gaze, slightly off-eyes. "What exactly do you want with me, Winnowill?" Dart says "Winnowill, you are not welcome here. Go back to your mountain." Cutter holds a hand up. "Let her answer the question.. Leetah gestures for everyone to wait. Leetah says "Her business is with me..let me hear her." Dart quiets down at the site of Savah. Mender scowls, but grudgingly falls silent, his gaze now as wary as his jack- wolf's. Winnowill lowers her arm, eyes umnoving. "You destroyed my Mountain." Tyldak remains in the shadows, blinking several time with a belated sigh Stoutheart moves, unobtrusively, to nearer Savah and Ahdri Leetah says "I? I did?" Cutter raises both eyebrows. Sharrill stares silently at her Lord. Leetah's eyes flash slightly. Cutter says "How do you figure that?" Cutter Cutter is now chieftain of the LostHolt, having moved from the Forbidden Grove some seasons ago. He has pale blonde hair, the color of pampas grass, and clear sapphire-blue eyes. His hair is pulled up into a chieftain's knot, tied with a rather new looking piece of leather rawhide. His face is tapered and well- sculpted, his nose the slightest bit turned up at the end. He wears a leather vest loosely fastened over his chest, and a pair of dark treehorn-hide breeches, another loincloth over the top of the breeches. His boots are black and thick, with soft soles for comfortable travellin and agility. Around his neck is a wide beaten gold necklace, and a thick golden band on his left arm. NewMoon rests at his side, always kept close at hand. Leetah She is dressed to live in the woods, and her apparel shows it. Her hair is, as always, caught up in a gold-and-sunstone band, and the torc at her throat catches the light. But the bracelets are gone, and the knife at her belt is more prominant than before. Her leathers are autumn-leaf red and green, and cling closely to her form. She wears a full shirt and breeches, and has added a pert feather to her hair. Her curls tumble around her shoulders, and her green eyes smile. She has come to be at home in the woods, and her step is silent, though any wolfrider could hear her coming. Her dancer's grace is a help to her now, and she moves more easily in the trees than in times past. Yet the sun is in her eyes, and her dark skin shows a time when she was not so noctural by far. Carrying: Goldie's Half a Doll. Wolfrider embroidery Leetah catches your eye and smiles warmly. Winnowill's teeth clench, voice becoming shrill, "You think what you did HELPED? My gliders run from the Mountain in droves, and you think what you did HELPED? I CAN DO NOTHING BECAUSE OF YOU." Leetah steps back a pace, but then refirms. "When sleepers waken, sometimes it's hard to go back to dreams, sister." Cutter's eyes narrow dangerously, and he crouches half-a-movement. Mender impulsively takes a step forward, before catching himself. His fists clench at his sides, one or two pale flickers of light dancing about his fingers before he gets control of himself. Dart keeps his arrow-whip ready...aimed at the black snake. Winnowill says "Dreams? You idiot child, you know those weren't just dreams." She points at Savah suddenly. "Tell her those weren't /just/ dreams, sister." Cutter flinches at the sudden gesture, but he keeps himself in check.. Ahdri blinks suddenly, glancing to Savah. Savah's golden eyes rest on Winnowill, sympathy reflected in them. She reaches out to place a comforting hand on Ahdris shoulder. Sharrill sends openly ** No my Lord, they were your mournful nightmares...the illusions you wished to hide yourself within ** Leetah waits for the Mother of Memory's answer. Winnowill's dark, dangerous eyes rest on Sharrill through the silence of Savah's consideration. Skitterpaw scratches a forepaw at the ground; a growl rattles in his throat. Still scowling, Mender kneels slightly beside him, and curls one golden hand in the animal's ruff. The movement suggests that he's trying to calm the creature, although neither the young healer nor his jack-wolf look any calmer. Savah speaks at last, her voice low and calm. "Much time has passed since last we touched, Winnowill. And only now, this anger." Cutter sends openly ** Madness. That's the legacy of all these Turns in your Mountain. ** Sunhowler growls low as his hackles rise. You say "A great anger, to bring you to this far land. Alone.." Dart is tense with anger and restrained rage. Winnowill spits the words at Cutter, "Quiet, little wolf. This is no longer your domain to speak." Tyldak suddenly folds his arms at his chest, his eyes still hunting over Savah and Winnowill Leetah breaks the tableau, and goes to the tray of glasses. She pours water into one, and returns..offering it to Winnowill. Ahdri relaxes slightly at Savah's words and touch, her eyes once again resting on Winnowill. Cutter clicks his teeth together and closed against a mounting growl, body tensed. Back to Savah, Winnowill speaks low and through clenched teeth, "She has half killed me, sister. She has half killed Blue Mountain. Half killed the Egg." Dart says "And you nearly killed my father." Mender looks infuriated that Winnowill speaks to Cutter in such a manner. He growls very softly himself... visibly shaking now. The hand that isn't holding his jackwolf's fur glimmers. Tyldak speaks in a very low, monotone voice, "You are still .. half alive." Leetah waits, goblet still extended. "Drink, Winnowill. You must at least be thirsty." You say "Peace, Dart... All my cousins of the green lands. How can you all feel such anger, after all these years? Winnowill, you are welcome here, as are all children of the High Ones." Dart frowns at Savah's words, but says nothing. Winnowill hisses, "I have not come to be welcomed." She sends the goblet flying with a backhand as she turns to face the shorter healer. "I have come to have this one finish what she started. Bring the complete destruction of Blue Mountain. She is no healer if she leaves such a /noble/ task half-complete." Tyldak levels his eyes at WInnowill now, simply watching and listening Leetah does not flinch at the waste of the water, but her eyes flash again. Stoutheart keeps a wary eye on Winnowill, not hostile, but protective of Ahdri and Savah, who he flanks.. Cutter surges forward, eyes fierce blue, teeth bared, but again checks himself. Mender bursts out, "What would _you_ know of being a healer, Snake?" Ahdri gasps softly, but composes herself once again quickly. Savah watches Winnowill, and nods slowly. Leetah says "What would youhave me do, Winnowill?" Leetah's pride pricked, her eyes gleam. Yun emerges from the shelter of the canopy. You say "Heartchild, can you not tell?" Ahdri glances from Savah to Leetah, slowly realizing. You sense Leetah is too piqued, too nervous to tell..you see in her the impulsive little dancer she once was, and the slow dawning of realization.. Winnowill grabs Leetah's wrist firmly and pulls the hand against her chest. "Kill me," she barely whispers. "Like you started before." Leetah's eyes widen slightly as she realizes..and then as Winnowill grasps her hand, she starts. Dart nearly releases his arrow with the sudden movement, catching himself at the last moment. Leetah says "I.." Savah takes a step forward, until she is next to Cutter. Mender starts as if struck by skyfire, and stares at if not believing what he's hearing. Stoutheart raises his crossbow as she grabs Leetah, but holds his fire Ahdri remains by Stoutheart. You locksend ** This must be done, chief of the wolfriders. ** to Cutter. Dart moves to make room for Savah, standing before the taller elf protectively. Cutter is coiled, just waiting for the chance to move. Leetah says "...but you would call it killing, wouldn't you." Leetah's tension leaves her shoulders. Ahdri rests an hand on Stoutheart's arm, shaking her head. Savah looks down to Cutter, making a slow gesture. Cutter locksends ** You want me to allow this mad elf to force my mate into a death?!? ** Winnowill waves a hand toward Sharrill, towards Tyldak. "If this is what our future is, then there is no more hope." Leetah's eyes lose their amazed look, and gain sorrow. Still watching Leetah, Winnowill says, "So finish ... your job ... healer." Tyldak looks steaily at Winnowill, though simply says, "This was your doing .. not mine." Leetah says "Only if you see hope as staying within your shell. If so, you are right." Stoutheart lowers the weapon again, slightly... Tyldak adds in, looking hesitantly at Sharrill, "Or hers." Sharrill sends openly ** No my Lord then there is a future full of hope ** Leetah says "Is this what you truly want?" You locksend ** Remember, Cutter..when Leetah first attempted the Healing of this tainted mind. It would indeed mean..a death of sort. For who she is. ** to Cutter. Cutter's eyes do not once flicker away from Winnowill and Leetah. Stoutheart says "They leave, as do others. I know all to well what... cageing...does to the soul...they want freedom..." Leetah doesn't hear anyone except Winnowill, gazing at her. Yun eyes the scene silently Mender has gone motionless, still wide-eyed, and still looking as if he can't believe what is occurring before him. Beside him, Skitterpaw shifts, and whines a little, not understanding the sudden shift in attitude of his elf. Tyldak steps out of the shadows, blinking several tims against the light of day, though continues peering at Winnowill Winnowill says "Listen to them! They've all become weak, and their leader has been mortally wounded! There is no hope for them... or any of us anymore. If you would kill us, then finish the job." Sand arrives from the crossroads with a faint smile still on his face. Redlance arrives from the crossroads with a faint smile still on his face. Knara arrives from the crossroads with a faint smile still on his face. Knara follows Sand in. QuietMind arrives from the crossroads with a faint smile still on her face. Leetah says "I never wished your death." Dart motions the arriving riders to be silent. Pike arrives from the south boundary path. Sand nods shortly and stands stock-still. Redlance comes in, still keeping his distance. Knara stops as he arrives. Leetah says "Not once." Cutter hardly notes the arrival of the other elves, eyes locked on Winnowill and Leetah. QuietMind arrives quietly, and stays to the edge of the sqare Leetah says "Change does not have to be death, Winnowill." Tyldak says "The blame for failure is your, Winnowill, and yoursalone" You sense in a locksend, Cutter loses the sense of your sending in fury. Winnowill hisses, "You never thought. All I tried to teach you and you still can't see what we are." You sense Stoutheart catches the motion, and quiets Leetah says "Then what are you? Truly?" Cutter barks a harsh laugh. "Teach?!" Winnowill says "Dieing." Ahdri watches quietly, eyes wide with uncertainty. Sharrill sends openly ** We cannot see through darkness, My Lord, and neither can you. ** Leetah keeps her hand on Winnowill's heart, not yet using her power. QuietMind watches the scene quietly, frowning b/c she has no idea what's going on, and keeps her bow ready Winnowill laughs suddenly. "So finish it. I've begun everything that's needed. The Gliders will be come less than what they were. I have left nothing undone. You, healer, must do the same." Leetah says "I ask again. Is this what you truly want?" Knara turns his head slowly to look at Stoutheart. Rayek arrives from the south boundary path. Leetah's eyes glimmer faintly with tears. Dart looks skeptical at the mere prospect that Winnowill wants to be...healed? Killed? Neither makes sense. Rayek freezes. Ahdri blinks, her eyes averting to Rayek. Ahdri whispers quietly, "Mother", hoping to draw Savah's attention to spot Rayek. Tyldak nods slightly to Rayek, looking back to Savah Leetah says "If it is..I will do it. But if it is not..." Winnowill stands tall and watches Leetah. "It is no longer my choice. Everything I love is gone from me. Finish it." Dart's eyes snap to Rayek then back to Winnowill. Mender follows a few startled glances to Rayek's arriving figure, and if possible, looks even more startled. Cutter notices nothing. Leetah is oblivious to her old lovemate's presence as she nods slowly. Savah looks to Ahdri, and follows her eyes. Rayek Proud in stance, his noble head held high, this darkly-tanned elf _exudes_ confidence from his handsomely chiselled features as well as his boastful body language. Underlying intelligence and blazing power of the golden daystar seem to beam brightly from his sparkling amber eyes, surveying his surrounding with a cold and steady gaze. Rayek's sleek and well-toned elven body, moves with the deliberate grace and strength of a skilled hunter, his poise and stance giving him the appearance of being taller than his actual height of nearly five feet. Mender then glances distractedly off towards the crossroads for a moment. Rayek starts to walk towards Leetah, pauses, and looks at Savah. Savah places a gentle hand on Cutter shoulder. Leetah says "So be it then." You locksend ** ** to Cutter. Rayek locksends ** <'loudly'> What transpires here? ** Pike is surprised. <:I Cutter sends openly ** Leetah..? ** Leetah's hand slips from Winnowill's heart to her hand. She glances at Savah. "In the Hall of Memory, Mother...?" Mender starts looking horrified, standing again as his gaze returns to Leetah. "Healers don't kill," he whispers, mortified. Savah sends openly ** The end, perhaps, of what started too long ago. ** Rayek stares at Savah, then turns back towards Leetah and Winnowill. Savah nods to Leetah, motioning to the Hall. Ahdri looks to Savah, eyes questioning. Leetah guides Winnowill into Savah's house. You say "Ahdri, please see to the villagers and our guests.." Sand steps quietly to Ahdri's side. Winnowill pulls her hand away from Leetah's but follows. Leetah starts, glancing at Rayek, noticing him for the first time. Ahdri nods quietly to Savah, waiting for her to depart. Dart locksends ** What do you want me to do? ** Rayek says as if finishing a sentence, "Tell me what you are doing." Cutter turns with Leetah and Winnowill, determined to follow. Leetah enters the Hall of Memory to the northwest. Rayek follows, brushing past Cutter. Rayek enters the Hall of Memory to the northwest. Winnowill enters the Hall of Memory to the northwest. Desert Cat heads for the shelter of the canopy. Cutter enters the Hall of Memory to the northwest. Dart enters the Hall of Memory to the northwest. Sand rests a comforting hand on Ahdri's shoulder. Pike shrugs and sits QuietMind turns to Ahdri "What's going on?" Sunhowler paces outside the nw entrance. Savah's golden gaze moves between Cutter and Rayek. And she sighs, following them. You step into the cool interior of Savah's house. [And, within...] Dart stays beside the doorway, ready to react if needed. Winnowill sots slowly, reserved. ** Tell them to leave. ** she sends Stoutheart locksends ** Mother...should I come? ** Leetah glances around. "Do you need them to leave?" Cutter sends openly ** Forget it. ** Rayek folds his arms. Cutter folds his arms across his chest. Dart slides his arrow whip away, and stands protectively by the door. Leetah locksends ** Mother...be with her. ** Winnowill sends openly ** They must leave. ** You locksend ** This healing is yours to complete, my child..But I will be here, for you both. ** to Leetah. Dart stands where he is, not even bothering to acknowledge Winnowill's orders. Leetah takes a deep breath. She places her hand on Winnowill's heart. Cutter stands his ground. Rayek shows no signs of leaving. Winnowill looks at Leetah gravely. ** No. ** Leetah's other hand goes to Winnowill's temple. Leetah sends openly ** They are not here to cause you shame, sister.** Rayek scowls. Typically. Winnowill sends openly ** They are here to suspect. It is not right. ** Dart's face is stoic, a strong resemblance to his father's. Leetah sighs softly. "Can Savah stay?" Rayek says, aloud, after a moment, "I do not approve of this. I will leave." Rayek turns and stalks out. Rayek steps outside into the dancing square. Savah looks at Cutter and Rayek both, something like a smile in her eyes at their stance. It quickly fades, and she speaks quietly. "The dangers here are not for you to face, or fight. Leetah will be safe." Cutter shakes his head. Winnowill sends openly ** Savah knows more of what I say than any. ** Dart locksends ** Please, do not ask me to. Remember what she did to my father. I cannot leave. ** You say "Dart, you are valiant, but this is not the time." Savah seems to answer an unspoken question. You locksend ** That is why you must leave, child. The old wounds must heal, now. ** to Dart. Winnowill relaxes most upon Rayek's leaving. Leetah waits quietly, eyes dark with sadness. Dart tenses...fighting an inner conflict, then nods and looks directly at Winnowill, his eyes sharp and hard, he speaks to Savah without looking at her, "I will be right outside, if you need." Dart steps outside into the dancing square. Leetah looks up to Winnowill, eyes asking the question. Winnowill closes her eyes slowly, otherwise still. ** Now. ** Savah walks over to Cutter, and stops behind him. A last soft rustle of robes, and all is quiet. Leetah nods, her soft brown hands reaching up for Winnowill's face. Cutter's posture softens, a touch, and then no more. Leetah closes her eyes, as her hands lock on the injury. Your magic feeling tingles as Leetah's healing energy flows. Winnowill takes in a breath, then relaxes more. Leetah's cheeks sparkle with tears as she goes in, deeper, to the source of the wound. Leetah tenses every slightly, every so often, as if she encounters a slight barrier. Cutter frowns at each tensing. Savah rests a hand on Cutters shoulder, sensing as much as seeing the healing proceede. Her eyes hold concern. Leetah's face is drawn slightly, and her attitude is one of cajoling, calling... Cutter locksends, to Leetah, Savah: ** ** The faint lights of Savahs chair grow stronger, though she is not seated. The sense of magic reinforces. Winnowill gasps, wincing, trembling, eyes tight, body tense. You locksend, to Cutter, Leetah: ** ** Leetah's hand drops from one temple, to rest on Winnowill's breast. The other stays at her hairline, almost stroking. Leetah's other hand now slips around to the back of Winnowill's head..and down the long, soft hair, smoothing tangles as she heals. Winnowill continues to shudder, eyes closed. The muscles at her jaw clenching, clenching, clenching. She does not move. Leetah begins to sweat, even in the cool of the Hall of Memory. Winnowill's eyes open wide, a gasp and 'o' of her lips. Leetah tenses at the same moment. Cutter fliches lightly. You locksend to Winnowill, Savah looks towards you, the faintest touch of minds as her eyes seek yours. Fainter, even, than the flutter of a moths wing. ** ** Leetah slowly pulls Winnowill towards her, unconsciously. Winnowill falls forward blankly, empty-eyed. Cutter squints. Leetah holds Winnowill in an embrace, one hand in the long black hair, one around her, resting Winnowill's head on her shoulder. Leetah strokes Winnowill's hair softly, magic flowing like stream water. Winnowill's form shifts and curls in on itself, pulling not away but into a long-limbed ball, silent, shaking. Winnowill whispers faintly, "Lord." She falls silent and rests down her head, closing her eyes. Leetah keeps stroking Winnowill's hair, tears flowing unchecked, but not sobbing. Cutter looks at Leetah, and Winnowill, and then over his shoulder at Savah, looking all-in-all supremely confused. Savah looks down at Cutter, and gives his shoulder a gentle squeeze. You locksend ** You should let your tribe know that all is well, little chief. As I should mine. ** to Cutter. The closer it is to close, the more things inside Winnowill spring back to life, moving, thinking, not chaotically but unchecked and smooth. Savah releases Cutter, and slowly moves out of the Hall. You enter the dancing square. Dancing Square Tailbiter Desert Cat Onyx Woodlock TwoTwigs Dart Rayek Fletcher Pike Redlance Sand Yun Ahdri Sunhowler Sharrill Darkrunner Whitepaws Drum Onyx looks towards the hut. Redlance shakes his hea, "Not really... I have a new great-granddaughter now, though." Sharrill looks up as Savah, walks out. Yun tries to keep a straight face but starts to giggle Ahdri glances up, eyes wide, "Savah...?" TwoTwigs looks towards Savah Tailbiter looks uuuuuuup at Savah!!!! Pike stops goofing off Ahdri stands slowly, moving toward Savah gracefully. Woodlock looks up, as well. Sand stands alertly. Cutter steps out of Savah's house. Desert Cat yawns. Onyx pulls Tailbiter back out of Savah's face, "Shh cub." You say "Ahdri..All is well." Fletcher looks up at Cutter. ** hello Cutter! ** Pike places his hands over his face once more. Ahdri looks worriedly between Savah and Cutter, eyes anxious. Tailbiter gets pullked Cutter nods to Savah's words. "It's.. alright." Rayek makes a point of paying no particular attention to people coming out. Dart looks at Savah and sighs in relief. Ahdri lets out a small sigh. She smiles slightly, "That is good." Savah looks out over the square. "So many of our distant cousins..but I cannot greet you properly. Not yet. Please, accept the hospitality of Sorrow's End." Fletcher nods at a send, and glances at Pike. Dart locksends ** All is well? You're sure? ** Sand nods quietly and respectfully to Savah. TwoTwigs nods Ahdri says "Is there anything I can do...now? For any of you?" Tailbiter's eyes are wide at the taaaaaaall Elf from behind Onyx (barely) Onyx looks up at Savah, quiet, she elbows Tailbiter gently, sending. Pike shakes his head no. You say "There will be, Ahdri, soon enough." Sharrill locksends ** How is Leetah? ** You whisper "You will be summoned..please, see to our guests still. I am needed elsewhere." to Ahdri. You step into the cool interior of Savah's house. [And again, within Savah's house...] Cutter quietly enters from the dancing square. From afar, Ahdri nods to you quietly. Leetah holds Winnowill, the flow of power trickling off even as you enter. Winnowill breathes slowly, curled, perhaps asleep, on a bench. Leetah keeps stroking Winnowill's haior softly. Rayek locksends ** And which of us are going to get a better explanation, Mother? ** Leetah says "Winnowill..? Would you like to rest somewhere a bit more comfortable than the bench?" You locksend ** There will be answers, dear one. Patience, though it comes hard. ** to Rayek. Ahdri pages: You hear..howling..happy stuff :) You say "My chambers, child. There are many outside...who have questions." Leetah nods to Savah, and rises slowly, helping Winnowill up. You locksend to Rayek, Savah seems weary, her send not as crystal clear as you know it. ** The healing is done. ** Winnowill gently pulls her arms away, standing on her own, looking at no one. Covered with the long, weary days of travel, her eyes are strangely clear, movements not as abrupt as many would remember them to be. Leetah steps back respectfully. Cutter watches Winnowill, eyes no less mystified. Winnowill starts to head for the door. Leetah says "Sister...?" Rayek locksends ** And of the patient? Is there anything left, or has the woman, good, bad, or otherwise, been ... erased? ** Winnowill looks over her shoulder ... smiling. A few strides take her through the archway and outside. You locksend ** Troubled sister..I repeat my welcome. May you find what you sought in Sorrow's End. ** to Winnowill. Cutter looks up at Savah, and then to Leetah. You locksend ** It seems you are about to find out, child. ** to Rayek. Winnowill locksends ** My thanks. But there is much ... much to do. ** Winnowill steps outside into the dancing square. Leetah sighs, almost collapsing into Cutter's arms. Leetah says "We'd better follow her." Leetah steps outside into the dancing square. Cutter steps outside into the dancing square. Cutter has left. You enter the dancing square. Rayek drops back to the ground. Sand's drumming stills. He rises gracefully. Leetah follows Winnowill out,and moves almost to her side. Redlance tightens his hands on his spear. Pike mummbles something about "nothing better to ruin a good dance. Leetah looks very tired. Rayek folds his arms. Ahdri watches quietly, also looking a bit tired. Cutter follows, bewildered. Winnowill walks gracefully though the square, smiling dreamily. Fletcher watches Winnowill closely, scowling. Pike slowly smiles........ TwoTwigs's brows raise up Pike laughs out loud! Ahdri blinks surprisedly. Fletcher moves aside, pulling Yun and Onyx with him, not wanting to be anywhere near teh black snake. Tailbiter looks up at another taaaaaaaall Elf "Are you her sister?" Rayek scowls. Deeply. Pike points and laughs! Woodlock looks stunned. Leetah leans on Cutter. "Be still, Pike." Ahdri moves to Savah's side quietly, looking from Winnowill to Rayek, shaking her head. Whitepaws whufs and snaps at Fletcher... Pike tries to keep it quiet. Tailbiter blinkblinks Sharrill looks at Winnowill, her eyes widened, with both fear and confusion. Fletcher pulls Yun over to Whitepaws and keeps watching Winnowill, all but ignoring the snap. Leetah says wearily "She's not going to hurt you. Relax." Savah stops by the archway to her house, looking after Winnowill with concern. Cutter keeps an arm wrapped securely around Leetah's waist. Fletcher sends openly ** what's happened? ** Ahdri whispers "This..is not right somehow, Mother." Sand shrugs and lithely crouches back by the drum. TwoTwigs smiles at Fletcher Sharrill stands from her seat, her hair falls onto the ground, her eyes unable to look up. You sense in a locksend, Leetah doesn't knowe what to do now..so much power...so much wisdom..all in the service of a dead dream....she wonders what will be now that that dream is faded. What new dream.. Fletcher pats AmberFlash as the wolf walks up to him. You locksend ** The desert is harsh, sister...stay with us a while. What must be done, will be done. ** to Winnowill. Whitepaws lies back down again Winnowill nods to Sharrill and continues her walk through the silentsquare. Sand's fingertips roll across the drumhead, a soft whisper of rhythm. You locksend ** The dream is a good one, heartchild..though the means were corrupted. ** to Leetah. Fletcher sits down near Fletcher. Ahdri whispers quietly to Savah, then returns her gaze to Winnowill. Tailbiter's eyes dart between Savah and Winnowill, then he shrugs, and sends to Fletcher** WHat happened? Everybody stopped having fun... ** Fletcher acks... oops.. *grin* AmberFlash sits down near Fletcher. TwoTwigs eyes Winnowill Tailbiter pads over to Winnowill, slowly, looking between her and Savah "Uhm...are you her sister?" Winnowill walks on, unconcerned. Winnowill goes north. "I need sleep now..badly, love." Sand flexes his hands, looking about him. Rayek glances at Leetah and Cutter, and Savah, if he can catch her in the same look. Cutter nods. Savah looks concerned. "Even healed...She should not brave the desert so soon." Leetah gives everyone a tired smile. Fletcher stares after Winnowill... Rayek says "I hope you can all live with this." Ahdri follows you in quietly, head bowed. Savah sinks into her chair. "Ahdri, you must be my eyes, now...tell me, if Winnowill leaves, and how." Ahdri blinks, "You wish me to follow her?" Ahdri says "And..stay with her?" You say "No, Ahdri..you must return. But I must know.." Rayek locksends ** Image: Rayek, with his pack. ** Ahdri nods quietly, "I will go now. Anything else, Savah?" But I don't think that the events today...were meant to be." Ahdri takes a deep breath, "Will there be anything else?" Savah closes her eyes. "Not for now, Ahdri..I will rest. And hope."
