Log Date: 10/27/95 Log Intro: Awakening from spending an entire night hanging over a roaring fire, and almost the entire subsequent day sleeping in exhaustion, Rayek is incensed to find himself bound in the cave of Rigar, the Cat Elf healer. His demands to be freed go unheeded -- and thus, Rayek summons every ounce of his still-depleted strength to break himself free, and fly back out into the jungles. He is pursued by Ktai, and eventually, as he reaches the river, she catches up with him. But they, in turn, are attacked by a jungle denizen, an eight-foot-tall lizard who finds them tantalizing prey. Ktai does her best to float the dazed Rayek out of the creature's way, but she is unused to floating twice her weight -- and she cannot keep both of them out of the creature's reach. Rayek, rallying his awareness, frightens the creature with as powerful a force blast as he can summon, but he is wounded when the dreadclaw nips at his ankle. Frantic, Ktai grabs him and hastens him back towards the Cat Elf encampment. The attacking creature pursues, but as Rork, the Cat Elf chieftain, comes running, Rayek scares the dreadclaw off with a final bolt before he collapses. Now, the Glider and the Cat Elf try to decide what to do with the still-weakened airwalker... and in the meantime, Ekuar receives an unexpected sending in the Palace.... ---------- Ekuar> You step out through the doorway, leaving the entry hall behind. Ekuar> Palace(#500Jae) Ekuar> If you only glance this way, you see nothing... nothing more, at least, than an odd ripple in your surroundings, and perhaps, just perhaps, a strange twinge in the back of your If you stare this way longer, directly at the ripple, you can see a towering stone structure, battered and weathered of appearance; one nearby wall sports a great ripple along its surface that might once have been a deep, open crack. Ekuar> Contents: Ekuar> Petalwing(#3061p) Ekuar> Savah Ekuar> Obvious exits: Ekuar> Doorway Ekuar> You approach the huge battered stone structure. Ekuar> Savah smiles, pulling her hood back. Ekuar> Ekuar ohs, breathlessly, as he comes stumping out. "My word... I DID hear you send.... Savah!" Ekuar> Petalwing flitflitflits happily! /Is muchmother highthing! Come see homeplace! Muchmother highthing maybe help find sharpdark highthing?/ Ekuar> Ekuar smiles weakly, coming up to the Mother of Memory and reaching to offer his single hand. Ekuar> Savah laughs softly, and bends down to give the rockshaper a warm hug. "My eyes see with joy, old friend." Her golden eyes widen slightly at the preservers words. "To help find?" Ekuar> Ekuar embraces Savah readily, but his old and wrinkled face is lined somewhat more than usual. "Eh, well, ah me, it's Brownskin, you see... he is, ah.... missing...." Ekuar> Petalwing bobs its head sadly, as it lands on Ekuar's staff. /Sharpdark highthing make bangfire on sunnybrown highthing, then flyfly off, make bangfires on rockthings, then sharpdark highthing not come back!/ Ekuar> Savah's expressive features show worry, as she looks at the preserver and then to Ekuar. "What has happened?" Ekuar> Ekuar sighs gently, and suggests, "Perhaps you should come in, Savah... I shall explain...." Ekuar> Ekuar gestures ahead with his staff, making the Preserver flit to maintain its balance. Ekuar> You step through the doorway into... Ekuar> You move away from the huge stone structure, stepping around the rubble that litters its immediate vicinity. Ekuar> Entry Hall(#8823RAF) Ekuar> High-ceilinged, airy, this chamber widens out from the doorway that serves as its entrance from outside to an expansive room, filled with little more than strangely ornate walls and the occasional column, rising up to the ceiling far overhead. Closer inspection of the walls reveals patterns shaped into their surfaces, sometimes of wings, or flowers, or the lithe forms of elves -- and sometimes of images that defy description. The air is full of a subliminal shimmer that plays at the edge of elfin senses, a tingle that feels welcoming even in its eldritch oddness. Ekuar> A long winding stairway twines its way up out of this chamber and into the upper heights of this place; you might be able to find other ways out of here, but the only other exit in immediate sight is the archway and doors that lead outside. Ekuar> Savah steps in from outside. Ekuar> Savah moves away from the huge stone structure nearby. Ekuar> Savah has arrived. Ekuar> Ekuar speaks up softly, his voice carrying in the wide chamber, "Rayek... I fear he did not heal as well as he should have..." Ekuar> Ekuar looks up, gaze mournful. "The Gliders showed you the way here? Perhaps they told you....?" Ekuar> Savah listens, her gaze on Ekuar. "They told me some, enough to convince me to seek the Palace in person. But none seemed to know, quite what and how." Ekuar> Ekuar says mournfully, "I should have seen it, you know... he barely slept, barely ate.... I thought he was pushing himself, but he insisted he was fine! Threw himself into studying the Scroll!" Ekuar> Petalwing pouts. /Silly sharpdark highthing need much nap!/ Ekuar> Ekuar finishes, "I am afraid his temper snapped. He... fired his magic at Lursa." Ekuar> Savah touches a dark hand to one of the walls, "listening". "And then?" Ekuar> Ekuar clutches at his staff for support, while the Preserver grumbles tinily about nastybad bangfires. "Lursa was injured... you have not seen her in Sorrow's End? Windkin said he was going to take her there...." Ekuar> Savah says "No.. neither of them have arrived in Sorrow's End." Ekuar> Savah sounds slightly distant. Then. "I can sense.. Ekuar, is there a place here that I might be alone for a while?" Ekuar> Ekuar frowns, shaking his head fretfully. "Oh, dear me, that sounds bad... perhaps they went to find Leetah... if they are missing too.... eh? Of course, dear one... the Scroll Chamber, perhaps, or the place where Brownskin and I have been sleeping?" Ekuar> Savah says "Yes..that will be fine, my friend." Ekuar> Savah smiles gently to Ekuar. "Rayek is a strong one. Do not worry, quite yet." Ekuar> Ekuar leads Savah off as quickly as he can manage. "Our chamber, I think.... that will be best... the Gliders are trying to study the Scroll.... come, do come...." Ekuar> Contents: Ekuar> Savah Ekuar> Petalwing(#3061) Ekuar> Obvious exits: Ekuar> Corridor Winding Stairway Doorway Ekuar> Side Corridor(#6192RFL) Ekuar> This is one of the smaller corridors through the Palace, and gives less of a feeling of airy, open space than the larger passageways do. The damage that the Palace recently suffered is still at least somewhat in evidence here; the walls are whole, but at their bases, and up around the ceiling and at the tops of columns, remain signs of cracks and chipping. Ekuar> Obvious exits: Ekuar> Rayek's Chamber Entry Hall Ekuar> Savah has arrived. Ekuar> Rayek's Chamber(#7481RFL) Ekuar> Spare of design, but smaller than many of the rest of the chambers of the Palace of the High Ones, this quiet nook is the place Rayek has appropriated for what passes as his rest. Like the rest of the Palace, it is a room of oddly rippling walls and ceiling and floor, a room where a flicker out of the corner of your eye might be a shadow -- or perhaps a lingering spirit. But there is little to relieve the starkness of the room save for a gathering of sleepfurs on the floor, and the perfectly prosaic light of torches in their shaped holders on the walls. Ekuar> Obvious exits: Ekuar> Corridor Ekuar> Petalwing steps out into the corridor. Ekuar> Petalwing has left. Ekuar> Savah has arrived. Ekuar> Ekuar offers you a place to sit, on what furs have been assembled here. Ekuar> Savah settles herself, after appropirate assurances to Ekuar, and sends her spirit "out", boosted by the returning strength of the Palace. [Meanwhile, Rayek has just been hauled by Ktai back to the Cat Elves, following their battle with the dreadclaw. Rayek, wounded, is barely able to protest as Rork arrives, bandages his wounded foot, and then irritably delegates the duty of returning Rayek to the healer off to Milar. Milar and others begin to arrive....] Chessai comes in along the trees to find whatever going on... Ktai limps along, trying to hold Rayek up. Milar walks in in a bit of a hurry, looking around. 'Oh there you are. Rork sent for me.' She blinks. 'What in the Forevergreen happened now?' Rayek floats under Ktai's magic, his body limp, his ankle reddened and bloody around the binding Rork put around it. He frowns vaguely to himself... Telia drifts in aimlessly, about a foot off the ground. She appears to be deep in thought, and because she's not paying attenting she runs into a tree. Ktai wearily shakes her head. ** I don't know... something with lots of - teeth... ** Lothar jumps down from the Nighthunters back. Lothar has arrived. Nighthunter pads in slowly, looking bored. She walks up behind Milar and sits down, as if expecting the elf to provide her with amusement. Milar looks a bit surprised. 'Teeth? That describes just about everything in this jungle.' Telia blinks and rubs her head, and then looks around, "Ktai, what are you doing here? What is going on?" Rayek scowls, as voices begin to blur together in his consciousness, and he stirs, trying to rouse himself. Ktai sends openly ** tall.... like a lizard.... only bigger... he's hurt.... ** Nuitari bolts in, his ears laid back. He skids to a stop in front of Ktai and the floating Rayek and starts snarling quite angrily. Nighthunter reaches up to swat at Milar's leg lightly, annoyed at being ignored. "Mreowr!" Ktai gasps, and holds Rayek up, away from the angry feline. Milar turns to look at Nighthunter. 'Oh, hi there.' She gives the cat a distracted pat and turns back to the gliders. Telia looks around, some confusion evident on her face. Chessai grins and drops out of the limbs near Milar. Rayek jerks himself back into awareness, registering Nuitari's growl as 'threat'. He twists, glaring, and send-mumbling, ** Put... me down... ** Milar blinks and steps closer. 'We'd better get him back to Rigar's again.' Lothar stalks in on a treelimb, even quieter than Chessai and remains hidden in a shadow, watching the scene for scarcely a moment before dropping out of the tree and scowling darkly ** Who are you and why are you here?! ** Lothar also has a spear in hand. Ktai locksends ** Shhh... I will, but you can't walk on your ankle... ** There is a sensation as if a sound you had grown accostumed to had suddenly stopped. Something is different... You sense in a locksend, Savah whispers, her faint presence little more real than a memory. ** Rayek ** Rayek's gaze snaps around to Milar, and he immediately snaps, ** I will _not_ let that 'healer' _bind_ m-- ** Abruptly, then, he cuts off... Chessai looks at you for a moment. Ktai looks to Rayek. ** ? ** You locksend ** S..... Savah? ** to Savah. Savah locksends ** Rayek, dear one.. I have searched far and long for you. ** Rayek still hangs in the air, but apparently, his gaze has suddenly gone elsewhere. Barely audibly, he murmurs, "S... Savah?" Milar starts at Chessai's suddenappearance. 'Oh, Chessai. You startled me. It's okay. This is...' She stops when Rayek addresses her, her eyes going wide at his vehemence. Ktai grows visibly alarmed. Milar says "Who's Savah? What's going on now?" Lothar growls, gripping at his spear ** Leave. Now. ** Telia raises an eyebrow, "Savah is the Mother of Memory of the Sun Folk." Ktai turns worried dark eyes to Lothar. ** Please... we were trying to... but he's hurt, and I promised to get him healed.... ** Lothar glances at Milar, blatently ignoring Ktai ** They are intruders, they are not wanted here. ** You locksend to Savah, Rayek's mental contact seems to wobble; you sense in a sudden flash of insight that he is or has been sick; he is, now, still weak, very weak. And in pain. ** You.... are in the...... Palace? Ekuar! I... have to get back.... ** Savah locksends ** Dear one, how may we find you? I sense your pain. ** Rayek breathes, gaze still distant, "You... are in the Palace? Ekuar! I have to... get back..." Ktai looks at Milar, her eyes pleading. Chessai blinks at the strange elf. ** What's he looking at? ** Milar looks up at Telia. 'Oh. Why is he asing for her, then? She's not here.' You locksend ** I... do not know where I am.... They bound me! I.... ** to Savah. Rayek scowls, then, his brow furrowing. "I... do not know where I am... they bound me! I... " You sense in a locksend, Savah's presence strengthens, her familiar mind probing more deeply. ** Be calm, dear one.. ** The effort draining her rapidly, she seeks to see as you see. You locksend to Savah, Rayek is dizzy, very exhausted, but you can see glimpses of jungle foliage 'overhead'. Light? Is he floating? There are faces, dimly perceived, leaning over him. Milar shakes her head a little, looking at Rayek. 'He must be seeing things. We'd better hurry.' Telia sighs, "Because he's probably not in his right mind? I don't know. I just got here and haven't gotten an explanation yet." You locksend ** They..... bound me, Savah! They... would not let me go.... I... have to get back, I... ** to Savah. You say "They bound me, Savah...! They... would not let me go! I have to get back, I..." You sense in a locksend, Savah whispers, as she fades. ** Rest, and wait. You will be helped, dear one. ** Something remains, even as the golden presence vanishes, a strand as fragile as a spidersweb. Ktai, pushed to her extreme limits, sendgrowls. ** He's hurt! Probably hallucinating! -I'm- not going to just stand here and watch him die! Will -you-? ** Milar shushes Nuit and holds him still with a hand on his scruff. 'Put him on Nuit's back, Ktai. It'll be quicker.' Lothar scowls, walking up to Rayek to peer at him. Ktai's dark eyes flare and she glares at every Cat-elf in her sights. Milar says "Ktai, I'm trying to help." Rayek blinks, absently, a couple of times. Then something changes in his gaze, and he cries a little more loudly, "Savah, no, wait...!" He then wavers in mid-air, gritting his teeth irritatedly. Ktai nods, her eyes still angry. She turns and catches Rayek in a cushion of air, and levitates him to the cat's back. Lothar scowls, and solidly cracks his spear across Rayek's skull to knock him out. Ktai sendshouts ** NO!!!! ** Milar gets a hold of one of Rayek's arms and tries to guide him toward Nuit, jumping at Lothar's sudden move. Rayek twists around, startled, about to glare at Ktai -- and the spear, catching him completely off-guard, drops him like a stone. Ktai whirls on Lothar. ** You dare! ** Nuitari continues growling lowly. Milar yells, 'Everyone, stop!' Telia levtates Lothar up in the air, "Was that really necessary?" Lothar simply stands where he is, face dark with non-emotion. Ktai mute, turns and lowers Rayek to the cat's back. Lothar sends openly ** Yes, it was. ** Ktai locksends ** ? ** You locksend ** ** to Ktai. Lothar looks at Telia ** Set me down now. ** Milar holds on to Rayek's arm. 'Get on with him, Ktai, hold him so he doesn't fall.' Ktai turns. ** I don't think we should. ** Ktai nods, her magic almost visible around Rayek. Milar looks at Telia. 'Put my mate down now, glider. Please. ' Telia grudgingly sets him down. Nuitari tenses at the stranges elves and the magic. Lothar stands straight as a statue, hidden partially in the shadows. Lothar This elf turns to meet your gaze and you can see in his eyes a flame of a feral spirit. His face seems cloaked in the shadows, and his long black hair covers up the rest of his features. You manage to make out a large scar over his right eye, running across the eye itself. He inhales to catch your scent and you can see his muscular chest, with several scars in various states of healing. The only clothin he wears are the tattered remains of his leather pants, now only a loincloth. He carries a bow and some crude arrows on a hip quiver, and his boots are worn thin. He is the epitome of the savage hunter. Nuitari(#8394JMaepqs) A robust panther in his prime. His sleek inky black coat shimmers in the sunlight, occasionally flashing highlights of reddish spots normally hidden by the deep color. His sharp amber eyes gaze at everything intelligently. There are two faintly uneven areas in his coat (like long-since healed scars), one on his left shoulder, the other on his left side. Telia A stark looking glider stands here. She is wearing a tight, black bodysuit with a deep V-neck. Her silver hair is cut short, just brushing the top of her high black feather collar. Her eyes are the same silver color as her hair, and they look out on the world with a cynical light. The only jewelry she wears is a silver loop in her left ear which is partially hidden by collar and hair. Carrying: Talon whip On the ground, Ktai has left. Ktai has arrived. Ktai sighs, her magic wrapping Rayek in a light cushion. She peers at his face, searching for signs of life. On the ground, Nuitari growls and lashes his tail at having such strange elves on his back. On the ground, Lothar suddenly disappears up into the trees and shadows. Rayek breathes, still, but his gaunt features are still paler than they should be, and he is still covered in sweat and blood. On the ground, Milar watches Lothar disappear into the trees. Ktai tugs up a piece of her soft leather sleeve, and wipes Rayek's face gently. On the ground, Telia makes a gesture, "Well, shall we take this to more comfortable surroundings? On the ground, Milar nods to Telia. 'Yes. Please, come with us.' On the ground, Milar turns Nuit with the hand still on his scruff and walks the cat towards Rigar's. On the ground, Nuitari walks stiffly, his ears laid back and his tail lashing as he continues growling. You follow the riverbank to the sound of the roaring. Out On the ground, Milar has arrived. On the ground, Telia has arrived. On the ground, Lothar has arrived. Ktai glides up, intending to land, and then levitate Rayek down. Ktai has left. On the ground, Ktai has arrived. On the ground, Milar stops Nuit near the pile of furs and looks around. 'He's not here.' On the ground, Lothar appears in the entrance of the cave, still holding his spear in one hand. Ktai levitates Rayek down to the furs. Ktai locksends ** ** Nuitari shakes himself free of Milar's grasp and backs away from the elves, still growling quite unhappily. You locksend to Ktai, Rayek's thoughts are still blanked out, with pain. Ktai sighs unhappily. Milar looks at Rayek, trying to see what injuries he has, as it appears the Healer isn't home. Ktai pulls what little she has left together, and gets a cloth and dampens it. Milar looks toward the cave entrance, spies Lothar and smiles faintly. Rayek's right ankle is bound in cloth, reddened, and dirty, you can see. Telia leans against a wall, folding her arms. Lothar walks in and starts guiding Nuit out. Lothar slips out of the warm cavern Lothar has left. Ktai gently wipes Rayek's face, applying yet another cool cloth to the back of his head. Milar looks around and gestures to the waterskin lying across the room. 'could you bring me the waterskin, please...um, I'm sorry, glider, I don't remember if I heard your name.' Telia floats the waterskin over to Milar, "My name is Telia." Rayek's face, Ktai might feel as she tends him, is cool, despite his pallor. Milar starts carefully untying the bloodied and dirty cloth from Rayek's ankle. 'Thank you, Telia.' She smiles slightly and takes the 'skin. Nuitari snarls at Lothar, but turns to leave with him, the lashing tail smacking one side of the cave wall as he leaves. Nuitari slips out of the warm cavern Nuitari has left. Under the clearly hastily-wrapped cloth, there is brown skin, scraped as raw as if someone had sliced a knife right down the stranger's flesh. Milar hisses slightly under her breath. 'This is not good. I don't know how to treat things this serious.' Ktai bites her lower lip. Milar unstoppers the waterskin and, biting her lip, starts pouring it over Rayek's ankle, hoping the water will clean the wound. Ktai blinks. ** Wine. ** Milar looks at Ktai. 'Um, what's that?' Lothar has arrived. Milar gingerly pulls the filthy cloth away from Rayek's ankle as she pours the water, flinging it aside once it's clear. Rayek's head turns slightly, as he releases a breathy moan. Lothar re-appears in the cave entrance, his outline filling the arch as he holds his spear in his right hand, the butt planted firmly in the ground. Ktai sends openly ** Wine... Someone once used it to clean a wound I had... when.... ** ** Milar nods slightly, as if to herself, then looks around again. 'Telia, may I ask another few favors of you? Can you look around for something to bind this with and some aloe...' She pauses, then sends the image of a rather odd plant, with narrow spike-like fronds. Telia hmms, "In here or out there?" Milar says "In here...I hope." Milar says "It'd be one frond broken from the plant, with some greenish slimy stuff inside." Milar pours water over Rayek's ankle until either the water runs out or the injury looks clean. (Heh, which of course, could be far from clean, as Milar knows very little about first aid.) Telia pokes around a bit carefully and comes up with some aloe and a strip of leather, which she gives to Milar, "Will this do?" Ktai nods, again vaguely remembering as she wipes Rayek's face quietly. Her face is pale and streaked, and she looks up for a moment, expression unreadable. Milar nods and smiles. 'Thank you again.' Rayek hisses a little, his head tossing, as his ankle protests the contact from Milar's water and hands. Telia returns to leaning against the wall. Milar takes the aloe and leather, then sets the waterskin aside. She peels the aloe frond apart and scrapes the now-exposed greenish gel into one hand. 'Ktai, this night hurt him, so be ready to hold him still.' Ktai locksends ** ** Lothar's jaw twitches, his eyes glittering as he watches the scene. Ktai nods, reaching down, and seeming to only lightly grasp Rayek's wrists. The glow of magic betrays the appearacne, though. You locksend ** ** to Ktai. Milar looks at Rayek's ankle again, swallows nervously, takes a deep breath, then very gingerly dabs a little of the aloe gel onto the wound. Rayek jerks, just a bit, groaning. Ktai locksends ** Shhhh..... ** Lothar takes a couple steps into the cave when it looks as though Rayek might wake up. Milar flinches back from Rayek's reaction, then takes another deep breath and dabs some more aloe on his ankle. Rayek mumbles, "Savah... come back..." Lothar narrows his eyes, taking another couple steps into the cave, coming into full view. Ktai locksends ** Shhh... when this is over, you'll be able to see her when you wish... We'll go back to the Palace, and then you'll never have to see me again... ** Milar quickly scrapes the remaining aloe off of her hands onto the torn apart frond and takes the leather and starts to wrap Rayek's ankle. Rayek's eyes come half open, and his head jerks from side to side, as he dimly realizes he's being held down. Are they trying to bind him again? Startled, he twists... Lothar nods to Milar then tightens his grip on the spear, watching Rayek. Ktai swears softly, and gently squeezes Rayek's wrists. "Shhhh.... it's just me... you're not bound." Milar eeps as the leather wrapping gets pulled from her grasp when Rayek twists. 'Hold still,!' Ktai pulls his hands close, trying to keep him still for a few seconds more. Ktai locksends ** Just a bit more... let her wrap your ankle.... ** Milar snatches the ends of the leather back up and hastily finishes the wrapping, doing a not very neat job of it in her hurry. Lothar ignores the lock-sends he's getting, holding his spear now in a more ready position. Rayek blinks, then his eyes clamp shut as he becomes aware of a pair of mismatched throbbings, one in his skull and one in his head, each beating out of rhythm with the other. He whispers hoarsely, "She... sent... I felt..." Ktai smiles at Rayek. "Who sent?" Milar says "It's okay, you're in Rigar's cave again. Lie still, your ankle is hurt.'" Rayek frowns. Wait. He knows this place. Distrustfully, he tries to rise, then turns slightly green-looking under the brown shade of his skin. "Savah," he croaks to Ktai. "She is in the Palace... she sent..." Telia watches Lothar out of the corner of her eye, hand on the hilt of her talon whip. Ktai nods. "Good.... then Ekuar is well?" Lothar relaxes slightly when he sees that Rayek isn't violent, just another deranged elf. Milar glances to Lothar, then sits back away from Rayek. Rayek frowns up at Ktai, eyes darkening. "She... did not say... I cannot stay here... I have to get back to him..." Rayek tries to sit up again, and tenses, seeing several unfamiliar faces. Ktai nods. "And you will... when your ankle is healed, we'll go...." Lothar relaxes some more, now that Milar is more out of the way of danger. Now he looks like a stiff scowling statue. Milar says "I'm sorry, you're in no shape to go anywhere. Please, lie still.'" Ktai helps Rayek sit, but only if he leans on the furs she piles behind him. Rayek scowls, as sternly as he can manage, at Milar, and insists, "I will _not_ be bound... " He trails off, dizzied, as Ktai presses him back against the furs. Ktai releases Rayek's wrists. "And you aren't." Ktai says "Just stay quiet for a little while, all right?" Rayek scowls, still, but unexpectedly lies back, even as he glares at the faces over him. "I do not... need my ankle... to return... I can float...." Milar picks up the waterskin to see if if has any water left in it. Milar shrugs. 'Okay. Well, how about your head? How do you feel?' Ktai laughs softly, and for a moment, there is an edge to her laugh. Lothar glares back at Rayek, the shadows playing on his face to make him look even more stern ** You will /do/ as my lifemate says. ** Ktai says "Stubborn one." Ktai looks back at Lothar. "Oh, leave him - leave him alone." Lothar keeps his gaze on Rayek, as if challenging him to a stubborness contest. Rayek barks to Milar, "It is of no consequence..." Clearly, he is dismissing whatever pain he might be experiencing, since there's still a tight curl to the edge of his mouth. As Lothar sends, he snaps his gaze up to him, and glares. ** I will _not_ be ordered, any more than I will be bound! ** Ktai looks to Milar, her eyes again pleading. Lothar sends openly ** You will do as you are told or you will be unconcious! ** Telia chuckles softly. Milar glances from Rayek to Lothar and back again. She stands and puts herself between them, blocking their view of each other. 'Please, you need to rest, if nothing else.' Rayek growls, sending thready but nevertheless threaded with palpable fury, ** Try coming near me with that spear again if you wish, stranger, and we shall see who gets to be unconscious...! ** Telia sighs in frustration. Lothar sends openly ** Yes, and it /shall/ be you. If you doubt it we shall try it right now intruder. Be glad I let my lifemate near the likes of /you/. ** [Two Moons went down at this point, so we were unable to finish this scene. End log.]
