Log Date: Sept. 22, 1995 Log Summary: After his awakening, and after Eveshka inadvertantly fills his groggy mind with a burst of anguish over her old -- and traumatizing -- experiences with Winnowill, Gerren is once more visited by Eveshka. But this time, she brings Alorn, and the two begin to try to implement some purpose which Gerren cannot fathom. They are, however, interrupted by Milani, who feeds Gerren till he falls asleep once more. ---------- In the room, Eveshka emerges through the curtains concealing the sleeping niche. In the room, Eveshka glides in silently. In the room, Eveshka has arrived. In the room, Alorn nods. In the room, Eveshka slips through the curtains to the sleeping niche. In the room, Eveshka has left. Eveshka slips in through the curtains. Eveshka glides in silently. Eveshka has arrived. In the room, Alorn slips through the curtains to the sleeping niche. In the room, Alorn has left. Alorn slips in through the curtains. Alorn has arrived. Gerren lies sleeping where Eveshka has left him, pale and frail of seeming under the furs that cover his reed-thin frame. Eveshka points wearily to Gerren. ** I started... there is a wall... we should let him rest for now... ** Alorn sends openly ** Has he eaten anything? ** Eveshka sends openly ** A few berries... he could barely chew them... ** Alorn raises an eyebrow. ** You tried to feed him berries..? ** Eveshka sends openly ** That's the only thing Zichri would bring. ** Alorn shakes her head and sighs. You sense in a locksend, Alorn sends quietly, as to not disturb. Yet. ** Gerren? ** Eveshka looks at Gerren quietly. You locksend to Alorn, Gerren's mind ripples sleepily, uneasily. But he slowly answers: ** ........? ** Alorn kneels by Gerren. Eveshka lands, not trusting herself to glide. You sense in a locksend, Alorn continues to send quietly.. soft whispers of thought tinted with warmth, maternal concern, and curiosity. ** How are you? ** Gerren's head turns, very slightly, towards Alorn. Eveshka touches Alorn's shoulder, offdering what little strength she has left. You locksend ** I... need to find Jasmael... so tired.... ** to Alorn. Alorn locksends ** Yes.. Jasmael. We'll help you find her.. but first, you must be stronger.. ** You locksend to Alorn, Gerren sends groggy, unfocused assent, mingled with a worried intention to seek out Lord Winnowill. He needs to speak with her.... Eveshka rests her other hand on Gerren's shoulder, looking sadly at him. Alorn frowns slightly. You sense in a locksend, Alorn's sending takes on a slightly darker flavor. ** Things have changed since you took up your shaping.. ** You locksend ** Our Lord... can tell me... about Reia... really my child...? And about... Jasmael.... ** to Alorn. Eveshka remains still, her hands touching both Alorn and Gerren. Alorn locksends ** I can tell you, too.. ** You locksend ** Really.... my child? Says... I'm dead....? Don't... understand... ** to Alorn. Gerren's brow furrows slightly, though he does not open his eyes. Alorn locksends ** All will be made clear in time.. but first, you must let me help you.. ** You locksend ** I'm... alright... I think.... just... tired... need to rest.... ** to Alorn. Eveshka gently caresses Gerren's cheek, then returns her hand to the sleeping elf's shoulder. Alorn glances at Eveshka for a moment, then looks back at Gerren. Alorn locksends ** All the rest in the world will not bring Jasmael back to you.. nor will it tell you anything about Reia.. ** You sense in a locksend, Eveshka's sending is quiet and sad. ** I am sorry if I hurt you before... please forgive me... ** Gerren's eyes flicker back and forth under his closed lids. You locksend ** Have to... get strong... then... ** to Alorn. You locksend to Eveshka, Gerren's mind drowsily ripples in acknowledgement of your contact; he seems weary enough, still, that he's only vaguely aware of your earlier harshness. Alorn locksends ** I can help you.. ** Eveshka smiles, a little relieved. You locksend ** ...........? ** to Alorn. You sense in a locksend, Eveshka's mind sends love and peace to yours. Alorn glances at Eveshka again. Alorn locksends ** Will you let me? ** You locksend ** What... do you want... to do...? ** to Alorn. You sense in a locksend, Alorn wraps her sendings around you like a warm, soft blanket. ** I want to help you heal your mind.. to remember.. ** You locksend ** Heal... mind? I'm... alright... just so... tired. ** to Alorn. Alorn locksends ** Well.. if you don't want help finding your mate and child.. ** You locksend to Alorn, Gerren's tired thoughts reflect a clear desire to find Jasmael, as well as to confirm with his Lord that Reia _is_ his child... but, and it takes him an effort to do so, he is utterly perplexed by the notion that his mind needs healing. ** Lord... Winnowill... already... healed... ** Alorn locksends ** Perhaps.. but you have been in a trance for so long.. should everything be where it was? ** You locksend to Alorn, Gerren's baffled attention, you sense, turns inward. You can feel him struggling to sort through powerful, recent memories of magical and mental union with the rock he had been shaping... and he lingers on these, unconsciously, before dizzily peering further. He... remembers. The Mountain was shaking, and he had to protect Jasmael and the unborn child.... Alorn locksends ** When you have rested, I will tell you what has happened.. ** You locksend ** ** to Alorn. In the room, Milani approaches through the archway leading in from the hallways of the Mountain. In the room, Milani has arrived. Eveshka wavers slightly, yet remains in contact with both Alorn and Gerren. Alorn watches Gerren thoughtfully for a moment. In the room, Milani glides in quietly, she hovers near Alorn, she obviously the one who told of the location, ** How is he Alorn? ** Alorn locksends ** Remember this, though.. there are only a few in the Mountain who know what really happened.. ** Alorn looks over her shoulder at Milani. ** He is resting.. ** You locksend to Alorn, Gerren's mind lingers on that concept confusedly, struggling between it and his own body's demand to just rest and relax. Eveshka stands, wavering slightly, one hand on Alorn's shoulder, and one on Gerren's. She is pale and seems to be near imminent collapse. In the room, Milani nods once, ** I imagine he would rest more securely without a coven of elves in there messing with his mind I'd wager. ** Alorn locksends ** But rest now. All will be made clear, in time. ** Alorn floats up, and motions to Eveshka to follow her. Alorn pushes aside the curtains and moves out into the room. Alorn has left. In the room, Alorn emerges through the curtains concealing the sleeping niche. In the room, Alorn has arrived. Eveshka gently pats Gerren, then -walks- unsteadily out. Eveshka pushes aside the curtains and moves out into the room. Eveshka has left. In the room, Eveshka emerges through the curtains concealing the sleeping niche. In the room, Eveshka glides in silently. In the room, Eveshka has arrived. In the room, Alorn looks to Eveshka. ** You should go rest as well. ** In the room, Eveshka doesn't look as if she has the strenth to argue. In the room, Eveshka walks slowly to the door. In the room, Milani raises an eyebrow at Eveshka, "It is foolish to waste yourself thusly, Alorn is right, rest." In the room, Eveshka sighs softly. In the room, Eveshka wavers. In the room, Milani says "Eveshka, go rest, now." In the room, Alorn sighs, and glides over to Eveshka. In the room, Eveshka drifts slowly, half-gliging, half-walking out. In the room, Eveshka moves out of the chamber and back into the twists of the Mountain. In the room, Eveshka has left. In the room, Alorn shakes her head and floats out after Eveshka. In the room, Alorn moves out of the chamber and back into the twists of the Mountain. In the room, Alorn has left. In the room, Milani slips through the curtains to the sleeping niche. In the room, Milani has left. Milani slips in through the curtains. Milani has arrived. Milani regards you for a moment. Milani glides in quietly, perusing you with a silent eye, altho, unlike the others she's sure, not sending. Gerren lies quietly, though with a hint of a baffled frown on his face. Someone has tucked furs over him, and his features are starkly pale in contrast. Milani hmfs to herself, "I wonder if they've had the sense to feed you." Milani looks about the room for signs of food, "I doubt they have." Milani says "So scatterbrained, these young ones." Milani pushes aside the curtains and moves out into the room. Milani has left. In the room, Milani emerges through the curtains concealing the sleeping niche. In the room, Milani has arrived. In the room, Milani moves out of the chamber and back into the twists of the Mountain. In the room, Milani has left. [And later...] Milani glides in, a tray with food and drink in her hands, she sets the tray down nearby and approaches the sleeping elf. Milani touches your shoulder gently, "Gerren?" Gerren gives no immediate response, save for a slight movement under his closed eyelids. Milani shakes lightly, ** Gerren? ** Gerren's head turns, very slightly. ** .........? ** Milani brings the tray of food closer, ** Gerren, wake up..you must eat. ** Gerren with an effort opens his eyes a slit. ** ......? ** Milani nods, her sending gentling, ** Yes, wake up, you will never get stronger if you do not eat. ** she brings forth a piece of fish, fresh cut, moving it close enough for you to smell. Gerren blinks, once, very slowly. ** M... lani... ** Milani nods, "Yes, Milani..." she starts to prop you up, arranging pillows and the like behind you as she makes herself more comfortable as well, she clicks her tongue once, "All of the young ones mucking about in your head. Let's get you back to your senses so you don't become like Door with all of the elves of the mountain pulling you different ways. Come..wake up." Gerren frowns vaguely, blinking at you. ** I'm... so tired, I... just want to... rest... ** Milani sends openly ** Rest without nourishment will not heal you, eat and then you can rest. ** Gerren sniffs once at the fish, and stares foggily at it, seeming surprised at the scent. Milani smiles, "There we go.." she pulls off a piece of the fish and holds it to your lips. Gerren sendmumbles, ** Fish... I... remember, yes... ** His gaze goes unfocused as he tries to lift his head, to accept the offered morsel. Milani puts it as much into your mouth as she can, helping to support you as she tears off another small piece, ** Yes, fish. ** Gerren starts chewing, extremely slowly, as if he's trying to remind himself of what to do to actually eat something. Milani chuckles a bit to herself, she offers the other piece of fish when you have finished the first and reaches for the cheese (assumes gliders know how to make cheese, it's mentioned with the old elves in BotC) she brought, taking a small piece of it. Gerren blinks a few times, eyes widening slightly at the tastes of food he hasn't sampled in about five years. He swallows, and coughs. Milani stifles a chuckle, she brings a flagon of water to your lips, ** Carefully. The body needs time to remember. ** Milani sends openly ** Well, you're better off than Door, she couldn't even swallow, the food kept slipping out of her mouth. ** Gerren allows himself to be fed, to be given water, all the while trying to focus puzzledly on you. Groggily he sends, ** How... long... shaping? ** Milani thinks for a moment, ** Perhaps a hand of turns. ** Milani continues to slowly feed you, the chunks continually a bit bigger as you become more adept at chewing, bread, fish, cheese and small pieces of fruit the staples of what she has brought. Milani regards you for a moment. Gerren insists around another cough, ** I... must... talk with... Lord Winnowill... find... Jasmael.... ** Milani sends openly ** You'll do nothing until you have rested. ** Gerren slumps back, the brief spurt of energy that allowed him to be fed spent. ** ... ** Milani sends openly ** Lord Winnowill will be notified that you have awakened, She will speak with you when She finds it neccessary. For now, you will eat and rest and come back to your senses after your station. ** Milani smiles slightly, ** You served our Lord well, She will be pleased. ** Gerren's eyes lighten, just a bit, as his head lolls back against the pillows. Milani tsks lightly, ** Sleep Gerren, I will return later with more food and the like. ** she covers you with the fur again and stands, taking the tray. Gerren falls asleep once more. [End log.]
