Bernadette Marshall's return to Ballybran from Shankill Station comes as less of a relief than she'd like. It is a relief, to be sure, after dealing with not one but two unexpected visitors - her brother, and Kevlan's father. But then, she gets a third shock as she returns to the suite she shares with Kevlan, only to discover that Rykos Knight has been sheltering there for the last few days, in quite the serious condition himself and as traumatized, mentally, as her sweetheart. Bernadette demands of Tamber what has been going on in her absence, and he gravely updates her. She digests this with a bit of difficulty, but rallies back with her own news that her brother Andros's arrival had been what had kept her on Shankill - but meeting up with Orynn Sharr, Kevlan's father, had been what kept her there. This startles Tamber and Jerrik both, both of whom had known that Kevlan had family on Estenar, but who honestly had not considered the possibility that the young Singer's father would be coming to Ballybran to see his son. Perhaps fortunate for Tamber, Jerrik, and Berni all, Kevlan is asleep as they discuss this news - and they tentatively decide to keep it from him, at least for now, until they are sure that Kevlan would not be troubled by meeting his father, and able to get up to Shankill to see him, as well. Jerrik also quietly updates Bernadette on Rhianna's visit and the effect her use of empathy had had on Kevlan; between that and the unexpected arrival of Rykos on the scene, Kevlan has seemed to pull out of his trauma, at least somewhat, shyly exchanging broken works with the other young Singer. Berni finds herself torn between elation at Kevlan's improvement, and disappointment that she has not been on hand to witness it all - and more importantly, to give her own aid to her beloved. Ultimately, however, Berni's recent days of running about with no sleep catch up with her, and she collapses to rest. Shortly thereafter, Jerrik is summoned to the Hangar when a sled goes down and its emergency beacon goes off.... [OOC note: Alric's briefly mentioned in this log but as he was disconnected at the time of the RP, he is assumed to be unconscious.] ---------- You hear a quiet tone on your wrist unit, and then a voice says, "A message to all on Ballybran from Jerrik: Medic to the Hangar Floor, Medic to the Hangar Floor. We have a crashed sled and injuries coming in.". Kasie emerges from the ready room with purpose. Kasie has arrived. Jerrik busily gets to work hauling a pair of techs off to the rescue vehicle. And with loud rumbling noises, they set out.... Kasie runs down from the Ready room, looking around, she spots Jerrik and moves towards him but staying out of the way of the incoming sled or sleds. An enormous transport wagon rumbles into the hangar floor and deposits Telandra's disabled sled with a sickening crunch. Telandra's sled has arrived. Sled recovered. Hauling fee of 50 credits has been billed to the appropriate account. After a time, the sled techs haul in the damaged vehicle, and Jerrik yells out tiredly, spotting the medic, "Glad to see you, ma'am, let's get 'em out... " Jerrik, looking extremely tired and worn, hastens to inspect the damaged vehicle and get it opened up for the medic to get to her patients. Kasie moves quickly over to the sled, waiting near the door to see if if the singer needs help or if they can make on there own. Kasie Kasie, or Kass, whichever people prefer (she cares not) is small of statue, least on the size stature. She dosn't stand more than four four with light grey eyes and darker skin. Her hair is extremly straight, black and very silky, contunily getting tossed spiritedly over her shoulder, (os is it hyperly tossed?) Kass is wearing a deep blue jumpsuit that has black stripes running up each leg. The suit is durable, not the normal skin tight suit she usualy wears. Her normal medic coat is over her arm rather than being worn. Hard heeled boots are on her feet. Kasie likes to be noticed by everyone, giving everyone her laughing and excited smile. Her energy is almost catching to those around her. Carrying: Meditech Handbook Telandra steps out from the cramped interior of the airsled "Daedalus." Telandra has arrived. Telandra looks around. Telandra Tellandra's brown hair cascades in waves to her shoulders. Dancing in the hair are glints of red and white and gold--each highlight reflecting its own color separately. Brown eyes with hazel highlights peek out of a rounded face with with strong cheekbones and a nose that had been broken in her youth. At full height she stands 5'4" and she looks to be around 27 years old. You feel something is wrong as you gaze upon the pale face of Telandra. Her face and arms are covered with many, many small cuts. They have been cleaned but she remains unbandaged to allow the air to help her heal. She evidently received a blow to the head. The impact site is still bleeding slightly and is starting to turn black. She looks around in confusion, seeming not to know where or who she is. Telandra's pants are a beautifully interwoven checkerboard of graduated shades of deep red. The fine velvet fabric almost glistens as she moves. Above he pants she wears a woven flax jerkin of deep blood red. It seems to have swirls wind or waves intertwined in the intricate pattern of the hand-loom woven fabric. Her feet are covered by bright red boots which currently sport mudstains. Carrying: LectureNotes Wrist unit Jerrik, as the Singer emerges, lets the medic handle her as he says wearily, "You're safe, Singer, me and the crew'll handle your sled." Telandra stares around the Hangar. Kasie steps up to the Singer, noticing the head injure, she says quietly, "Are you ok Telandra?" Telandra says "Um....the man." Telandra gestures to her sled. Kasie looks over at Jerrik, then widens her eyes at Telandra, "Someone else in the sled?" Jerrik points the crophaired female tech with him around to inspect the vehicle's landing gear. As he catches the medic's eye, he pays more attention, scanning mouth movements and catching on that's something's amiss. "I'll check." Telandra nods, still holding her head. Soft, beige cotton slacks and comfortable sandals complete the look on the comfortably-frantic engineer. Despite his recent accident, Alric has regained his memory and is in a splendid mood. Alric is laying back in a normal hospital bed now, the backboard gone from behind his back. His skin is still white but better than it was, he is weak and shouldn't be trying to stand up or move around much. A deep ragged gash is torn in his leg. Telandra starts, "What is that?" Kasie nods, "Ok." she yells to over to a medic who's just watching, "Take care of whoever is in the sled while I get Tela settled." she turns back to Telandra, "Tela, can you walk to the infirmary with me?" Beside the sled, as Jerrik turns around to look at his companion, the lean female tech mutters tiredly, "You're right, Deegan, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes - sorry we had to haul you up here." Telandra looks at Kasie, "What....I hear something singing, where is it coming from?" Telandra loooks around for the crystal song. Kasie says "I'll explain everything, do you remember what your name is?" Jerrik smiles weakly at the other sledtech, and the two of them, along with the medic that's come down with Kasie, clear the way for the wounded Alric in the sled. The other meditech frowns, saying into his wristunit, "We're going to need a gurney in the Hangar ASAP, we can't carry this man. Yeah, tell Morgan Kasie's got it handled. Thanks." Kasie takes Tela's arm, gently leading her towards the ready room. Telandra pauses to think, "Um...Tela." With that, Kasie's coworker briskly and deftly gets the unconscious Alric out of the damaged vehicle. Kasie smiles at Tela, "Thats your nickname, your first name is Telandra. Lets get your head looked at." Telandra nods and winces. Telandra says "Where is that singing though?" Jerrik, as the second tech finally gets the summoned gurney, helps the younger man hoist Alric up onto it. Telandra continues to look around for the singing. Telandra looks at you for a moment. Kasie says "Tela, I'll explain everything, just want to get you into the infirmary." Telandra watches Jerrik for a bit. Telandra turns, "What? Oh...ok." Jerrik mutters something worn-sounding about dealing with too many broken Singers in the last three days, and gets to work straightening out the sled. Kasie starts moving away, her hand on Tela's arm, "If you don't come along, I'll get a gurny and push you, can you walk?" Telandra says "I am." Telandra looks at Kasie's arm and follows to this infirmary thing. Kasie smiles Kasie ducks into the ready room, escaping from the swirling wind. Kasie has left. Telandra ducks into the ready room, escaping from the swirling wind. Telandra has left. [Jerrik, after getting Telandra's sled cleaned up, tiredly heads back down to Kevlan Sharr's suite to rest. He doesn't particularly expect to _get_ much rest, but then, he did promise to check in with Tamber... ] It's still very quiet in Kevlan's suite. The only noise at this hour is Tamber's tenor voice, as he talks quietly with Kevlan; the Sorter and the Singer are both lounged near the couch where Rykos has been resting all this time, and Tamber is trying to coax Kevlan into playing cards with him. Kevlan keeps looking uncertainly from Tamber to Rykos, seeming very worried. Rykos shiver quietly as he sleeps in the corner of the couch. He has not let go of the blanket since Kevlan gave it to him. Rykos's murmurings seem to have quietened a little over the past day or so, the time spent with Kevlan obviously have some calming effect on the distraught singer. The door buzzes... Kevlan jumps restlessly, but Tamber tells him soothingly, rising to ruffle Kevlan's hair as if the Singer were in his first decade instead of his third. "You stay right here, my boy, stay with Rykos." Kevlan nods hesitantly, scooting back against the couch. Tamber paces to the door, and opens it to reveal a tired and worn-looking Jerrik Rawn Deegan... Jerrik> Kevlan's Suite(#3986RAJ) Jerrik> These spacious Singer's quarters are sparsely but pleasantly furnished. Offsetting the pale cream hue of the walls and the darker beige color of the carpet, the three chairs here - one an upholstered desk chair near the computer terminal, the other two amorphous and baglike of shape, perhaps intended to be simply curled up on - and the pillows and linens scattered over the bed are all of various harmoniously tasteful shades of blue and green. Along the back wall stands a bookcase, and in the center of the floor lies a fluffy, intricately patterned and multi-hued 'rug'. The wall screen over the computer terminal is set to display an Estenari night sky; the small green shape of Estenar's moon, Lareen, hangs over shadowed hints of mountains. Jerrik> The primary door here leads out into the corridor; a smaller one back by the bookcase leads into the bathing chamber. Jerrik has arrived. Tamber ahs, and smiles benignly at his friend, studying him. "Is everything taken care of?" Rykos's eyes blink open slowly at the sound of voices and Jerrik's entering. Jerrik looks distressed, and flicks a dark-eyed glance at the pair of Singers further in the room. In a very low tone he mutters to Tamber, "Found out who crashed when I got up there, yeah." Kevlan straightens up a little, forlornly watching his friends. Instinctively, his plaintive gaze seeks out the tired form of Bernadette - curled in the bed that Kevlan himself had been occupying, for a while - and he relaxes, but the other mens' voices hold his attention. Tamber does not miss Jerrik's reticence, and he lifts a reddish eyebrow. "Someone we know?" Rykos's gaze darts around the room quickly, desperately. His voice is almost a whisper and aimed at no one, "...where..." Kevlan turns to Rykos, and reaches for him automatically, with one shy hand. Jerrik stares over at Rykos sadly, organizing what little knowledge he has about this young man, which is to say, enough. He mutters to Tamber, trying to be as quiet as possible, "Telandra." Despite the sled tech's low-pitched voice, a black-adapted Singer still hears remarkably well - and Kevlan blinks, looking up again. "'L-l-landra?" Rykos turns quickly to look at Jerrik, not seeing Kevlan's hand, "Wh..what..?" Jerrik visibly wilts, muttering, "Freg... " Tamber briskly pats Jerrik's shoulder and steers him to a chair, going over to handle the two Singers. Rykos Rykos is dressed in very drab and rough clothing. A murky beige shirt and pants hang loosely on his underfed and over exhausted frame. His face is unshaven and his hair still wet with radiant fluid. You would guess that he is in his early twenties. His bright blue eyes shine intensely and neatly cropped black hair is combed back off his face. He stands about 5'10" but it is difficult to tell unless he is standing still. Often he will be lost in thought, unaware of what is being said around him. As a result of massive doses of resonance in Alric's attempt to heal him, Rykos's symbiont has gone into overload. His injuries seem to be healing faster than his body can cope with it, racking his body with spasms. He occasionally coughs blood as his spine resets its self causing internal bleeding that takes moments to heal.. One can only speculate what may happen if the rapid healing it not stopped. Only a constant feed of drugs slows it as the symbiont tries to break down each drug in turn. The radiant fluid seemingly slows the resonance enhanced symbiont to almost managable levels. Rykos is curled up in a tight shivering ball in the corner of the chair. A blanket, previously from Kevlan's bed, is wraped tightly around him so only his head protrudes. Rykos looks at Kevlan then back to Jerrik again, "T..Tela...where..?" Even Tamber al-Acorrin's serene composure is slightly rattled by two equally bereft blue gazes on him at once, and he sighs, before saying, "Jerrik had to go to the Hangar, dear boys. There was a crash. Telandra is in the Infirmary." Kevlan doesn't say anything, but his expression visibly shifts, eyes going stricken. Jerrik mutters, "Me and my big mouth. Is what I get for being deaf for a hundred years... " Rykos pulls tightly on the blanket around him, there is the faint sound of tearing fabic. "Tela...hurt....where..?" Tamber almost smiles over his shoulder to the exhausted sled tech, and repeats gently to Rykos, "She is in the Infirmary. One level down. We can take you...?" Kevlan eyes the door for a moment, warily, as if he suspects it might be some kind of mysterious trap. He stiffens at Tamber's suggestion. Rykos looks at Kevlan again then back at Tamber. "Sh...she...not dead...?" Tamber glances at Jerrik questioningly; the other man shakes his head and says more loudly, firmly, "She's just dazed, son. Not sure she remembers much at the moment, I think she clonked her head." Kevlan reflexively raises a hand to the back of his head, expression pensive. Rykos looks confused and distraught, "B..but...she...I...." He trails off into meaningless mouthings. Jerrik adds, "But I saw her walk out of the Hangar myself." Tamber repeats gently to Rykos, "Do you want me to take you to her, my boy?" Rykos glances at everyone in the room quickly before stopping to look at Tamber again. "s..see...her..? Sh..she doesn't w..want..m..me too.." He looks desperate as he slides across the couch a little. Kevlan looks at Rykos again, his face reflecting a painful amount of sympathy. Tamber offers, "If you at least want to make sure she's alright, we could take you to talk to the medics." Jerrik, privately thinking Rykos could stand to be looked over by a medic or two anyway, just sits up and tries to look encouraging. Occasionally, your thoughts turn to Ballybran. Non-singers around you see: You feel something is wrong as you gaze upon the pale face of Kevlan. Rykos looks at Kevlan, almost in tears again. He nods slowly, "M..make...sure...please.." Kevlan blinkblinks, and looks at Rykos awkwardly before glancing to the door again. He scoots back a centimeter or two along the couch. Tamber and Jerrik eye Kevlan, each man considering whether Kevlan is up to venturing out of his room for the first time since his return from Hesperia. Tamber kneels by Kevlan and regards him quietly. "Do you want to go with Rykos to see Telandra, Galahad?" Rykos looks down at the blanket around him and shakingly lets it fall to the chair. He shudders badly as the blanket falls away, then looks at Tamber and Kevlan. Kevlan doesn't tremble - rather, he seems to have gone very tense, in a way that suggests that if he _let_ himself, he would be shivering violently. His eyes darken, but they also turn back to Rykos, searchingly. Rykos looks at Kevlan, "I..I h...have to." He looks down at the couch. "St..stil...love...her..." Kevlan finally mutters, almost under his breath, "Go see 'er." Rykos moves slowly to the edge of the couch and tentitively places a foot on the ground. Tamber smiles, and offers Rykos his arm if he needs support. Kevlan remains tensely sitting on the floor for a long moment, watching Rykos get up. Rykos looks down at his feet as his shakily levers himself into an upright position. His knees give way, after being folded under him for several days, and he starts to fall to the floor. Tamber adroitly moves to help the dark-haired Singer. Jerrik, too, is on his feet in an instant, and the sled tech moves to Rykos's other side. Kevlan swallows hard, plaintively watching his two friends help - his third friend? yes - up to his feet. Rykos leans on Tamber and Jerrik. There seems to be almost no weight to him at all. "C..can't let..h..her ...see me ...like this.." Tamber says soothingly, "We will bring you back here quickly, if you wish it. Or help you remain hidden. Come on now... " Jerrik just nods levelly, trying to be a sturdy shoulder and not be too tired. Kevlan slowly and awkwardly rises. He's more steady on his feet than Rykos is - in the last day or two, he's been hobbling around the room occasionally. Rykos takes a deep but ragged breath and nods slowly, "H..have to s..see her..." Jerrik says "You got it, son..." Tamber encourages, "Come, then... carefully now... " Jerrik and Tamber help Rykos out, awkwardly. And behind them, Kevlan, his body drawn tight with tension, pauses... then hesitantly wobbles after them. [The foursome head to the lifts, with Kevlan making his way as best he can after the other three. Jerrik and Tamber make their way into the Infirmary, with the rather crumpled form of Rykos Knight hobbling between them. Behind those three men, almost peeking around the doorframe before he enters, Kevlan Sharr nervously and shyly wobbles after them. Rykos sees Telandra and immediately tries to hide behind Tamber. Telandra just watches everyone. Tamber blinks, and damns to himself as he sees Telandra out in the open. But he promptly covers his disappointment as he says briskly to the medic, "Ah, we wished to check on CS Telandra's status, good lady." Jerrik mutters tiredly, and helps hold up Rykos, letting the lad hide by him, if he wants. Kevlan backpedals, looking as if he's about to dart out the door. Telandra looks at the slumped man and frowns slightly, then over to the one who spoke. "I know you?" Kasie is standing beside Telandra, she nods to Tamber motioning her hand towards Telandra, "She has amnesia..." Rykos peers round from behind Tamber and Jerrik. "T..Tela..?" Telandra looks back at Rykos, no sign of recogintion registers in her expression. Tamber allows the sturdier Jerrik to support Rykos as he straightens to his usual posture, and inclines his head politely to Kasie. At the prognosis, his eyebrows go up, and he frowns gravely. "I see." Rykos stumbles forward, letting go of Jerrik, "A..amnesia.." Kevlan's gaze flicks to Telandra. He doesn't say a word, simply looking nervous and tense as he hangs onto the doorframe. Jerrik says "Whoa, careful there, son...." Kasie nods and sighs quietly, "I'm sorry..." she looks towards Rykos with a nod, "Rykos, she dosn't remember." Tamber glances at both Rykos and Kevlan before backing off with Jerrik, just a bit, to let Rykos approach Telandra. Telandra watches the one man stumble, looks at those on either side of him...and then over to the man in the doorway. Rykos moves shakily across the room towards Telandra. Kevlan blushes, and backs up another step. Kasie puts her hand on Telandra's arm, "Tela, Rykos is that friend I mentioned... The one you refused to leave..." she stops, not sure if she's doing the right thing. Telandra smiles at bit at the blusher, then looks at the stumbler. Tamber mutters something rueful sounding, and goes to Kevlan, murmuring to him lowly, "Galahad, are you alright? Do you want to stay?" Jerrik wearily glances from face to face. Trusting in the medic to do her job, he goes to sink into a nearby chair and let the more alert Tamber deal with Kevlan. Telandra looks over at Kasie and nods, "Rykos?" she tests the name. Rykos's knees buckle again as he stops beside Telandra. Telandra looks the one called Rykos up and down. Occasionally, your thoughts turn to your last cut of crystal. Non-singers around you see: You feel something is wrong as you gaze upon the pale face of Kevlan. Kasie nods to Telandra, "Yes Tela, this is Rykos. A very good friend from what I've been told." Kevlan watches Rykos and Telandra for a moment. A muscle in his right cheek tightens tensely but he mutterdrawls to Tamber, "'Mokay." Telandra's expression eases a bit, "Take me home?" she asks Rykos. Kasie steps back from Telandra, sensing they will help themselves to heal. She glances worriedly Kevlan's way, her eyes then turning towards Tamber. Tamber clasps Kevlan's shoulder assuringly, and upon noticing Kasie's glance, he looks up? Rykos sinks to the ground in front of Telandra. He looks up at her and nods. "I..I..will.." Telandra smiles down at the stranger on the floor, then looks around at the other unnamed ones. Rykos reaches out to a nearby bed and pulls himself up again, leaning on the bed. He looks at Telandra again, a mixture of fear and elation in on his face. "Tela?" Tamber essays a smile back to Telandra, inclining his head. "Forgive my ignoring your question, my dear - I am Tamber al-Acorrin, Sorter, at your service. Rykos requested we bring him to you." Tamber, with that, returns his attention to Kasie, who looks inquiring... Jerrik offers to Telandra, tiredly but affably, "Jerrik. Um, Jerrik Rawn Deegan." Telandra looks Rykos over again, the over to Tamber. She nods at his remarks and turns to Kasie, "This is not sick?" he hand gesutures in Rykos' direction. Kevlan remains quiet, clinging to the frame of the door as if half-afraid that he, like Rykos, will fall over. Kasie winces at Telandra's question and nods, "It is...." she seems almost ashamed, "We don't know what to do..." Rykos shudders again, the effort of standing, severely taxing him. He shakes his head, "N..not sick, h..healing." Rykos reaches out a tentative hand towards Telandra, though not able to reach her from where he is leaning. Kevlan finally mumbles, but not very loudly, "Got hurt." Telandra smiles at Jerrik, "I saw you before." She looks back over at Rykos and watches his hand. Rykos looks at Telandra, pleadingly, "You...you're real?" Jerrik gives a good impression of a man who'd like to fall over and snooze for a while, but he smiles readily enough while keeping an eye on the fawn-eyed Kevlan nearby. Telandra says "Yes." Kasie takes her attention off Telandra and Rykos, smiling non-threatening towards Kevlan before looking away to make him feel more comfortable. Rykos strains to reach Telandra, stepping carefully away from the bed. He touches her lightly on the shoulder, his face lighting up. Telandra glances back over to the strange man hovering in the doorway. She looks down at the hand on her shoulder. Kevlan sees Rykos seem to relax, and a look of relief crosses his face, but only somewhat, for he is still visibly tense, and he blushes deeply under the medic's scrutiny. Telandra peers at the elation in Rykos' face, "You wished to see me?" Rykos turns away from Telandra briefly, not moving his hand, and looks at Kevlan. "Sh..she's real.." He turns back to Telandra and nods. Telandra says "Why would I not be real?" Kevlan doesn't smile, but the tension in his eyes lessens, a bit. He ventures a step or two into the room, moving with tense care. Rykos's face clouds a little. "D..don't know. Th..though you w..wer in th..the darkness." He looks confused. Tamber, visibly poised as if he's quite prepared to be at Kevlan's side in a millisecond if needed, nevertheless ostensibly doesn't move. He murmurs to Kasie, "Good lady, would you recommend that Rykos remain in Telandra's company for a time?" Telandra just nods clearly having less idea what 'the darkness' is than who any of you are. Kasie nods slowly, answering softly, "I think so, it may help her regain her memory." Jerrik blinks over at Tamber and for a brief moment looks extremely worried. Tamber considers this, and nods quietly. "Here?" Telandra speaks quickly, "No." Kasie answers in the same voice, keeping her eyes on all three of the singers without making it obvious, "She dosn't like it here, at all...she and I where leaving. It was better to let her wander than fight with her to stay." Rykos looks at Telandra again, "Your..your room. I..I can show you." Telandra looks at Rykos and nods, "Alright." Tamber nods levelly to Kasie, and over in his chair, Jerrik can't suppress a look of relief as Rykos volunteers that suggestion. Telandra says "What about....um....Alric is it?" Kevlan hesitantly speaks up to Rykos: "You... you gon' b-be okay?" He looks frightened, slightly. Kasie looks over at Tela, trying not to smile, "He's staying right where he is. When you get your memory back, I'll talk to you about sneaking pationts out of the infirmary." Telandra looks around again, "Its not good here." Telandra unconsciously crosses her arms across her chest. Rykos nods. He lets go of Telandra and moves away a little. He screwws his eyes tight and shivers a little. When he opens his eyes again, they are clear and alert. He nods at Kevlan, "Ha..have to t..take care of Tela now." Rykos turns back to Telandra, "No, n..not good here. You d..don't like it here." Telandra nods, "My room?" She nods her chin toward the lifts, "That way?" You force yourself to listen and sigh, all of the resonance is gone from your body. Non-singers around you see: Kevlan peers off into the distance occasionally. Kasie nods to Tamber, asking softly, "How is he?" she nods her head very slightly towards Kevlan, trying to not give away to him that she is asking about him. Rykos shudders again as he tries to stand a little straighter. He nods at Telandra, "Y..yes." Telandra frowns, then looks over at Kasie. "Can't you make the rocks stop singing?" Kevlan bites his lip, forlornly nods, and shyly steps back towards the doorway, wobbling slightly on his feet. In contrast to Rykos, he's clearly more steady on his feet, but as if Rykos' sudden surge of assurance has drained something out of him, he seems to look more lost and bereft. Kasie shakes her head to Tela, answering softly, "No Tela, only you can do that." Telandra sighs and looks back at Rykos. Tamber, adroit at pitching his voice exactly as he wishes, murmurs to Kasie, "Better than he has been, but we are still greatly concerned, Jerrik and Bernadette and I... " Jerrik studies the mouth movements on a face or two, then turns and tugs gently at Kevlan. "Son, you should sit down, at least for a minute. C'mon... " Telandra takes a step toward the lifts. Kevlan blinks, and distantly allows Jerrik to settle him down beside him. He makes absolutely no noise as he does, padding around on bare feet. Rykos looks a little startled at Telandra's mention of singing, but leads her to the lift. Telandra heads toward the lift area. Telandra has left. Tamber mutters softly and quickly to Kasie, noting that after having been given permission to do so, he's been adding his personal observations on Kevlan's state to his medical file. Kasie nods her head, listening, mummering, "That is good to hear, but I agree, I'm worried as well." Kevlan seems to wilt a bit as Rykos hobbles out with Telandra. Rykos heads toward the lift area. Rykos has left. From afar, Rykos glances at you quickly as he leaves with Telandra, his eyes flicker painfully before he moves to cath up with her. Tamber fixes Kasie with a darkened green gaze. Still deliberately lowly, he asks her, "Could you examine him...? Jerrik and I will stay with him, but we are not medics... and for all our care, we won't catch everything. I am particularly worried for his resonance levels... " Kevlan turns to watch Rykos go, looking rather like a small boy watching his best friend go off on a long trip. Long distance to Rykos: Kevlan, looking quite like a small boy watching his best friend move away, plaintively watches you depart. Kasie observes Kevlan watching Rykos leave, seeing him almost fall into himself. She nods, her eyes troubled, "I will and as much as what just happen helped Rykos, it didn't help Kevlan." Tamber agrees softly, "Rykos came to see him, good lady. It seemed to rally him, a bit - he has talked more, in the last few days, than he has in two weeks." Jerrik tells Kevlan gruffly but gently, "Ah, son, he'll be okay, promise... " Kevlan looks up and says sadly to Jerrik, "H-h-he gotta sing 'gain." Kasie says "May I go over? He dosn't know me that well, none of you do actualy." Tamber inclines his head benignly to Kasie, bowing a bit by way of replying, 'By all means.' Kasie nods, moving slowly towards Kevlan she makes use of her size, training her mind to look as unthreatening and as small as possible. Jerrik catches note of Kasie's approach before Kevlan does. Giving a look to Tamber and seeing the Sorter nod encouragingly, Jerrik realizes what's going on, and pats Kevlan's nearer shoulder assuringly. Kevlan blinks, and looks up forlornly at Kasie. Blushing yet again, and then looking down, he mumbles to Jerrik, "Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah w-wanna go back... " Tamber comes over to fold his slender frame into the chair on Kevlan's other side, and soothingly tells him, "It is alright, dear boy. This kind lady just wants to speak with you." Kevlan, quite fully aware of where he is, slides a nervous look back at the medic. Kasie stops about two feet from Kevlan, kneeling so as Kevlan need not look up at her, she smiles, "How are you feeling Kevlan? I'ts good to see you walking around, getting stronger." Kevlan flashes a panicked look between his two companions, as Tamber tells him serenely, "Answer her, my lad." Kevlan finally mumbles, still looking down and his voice still thickly slurred, "'Mkinda wobbly." Kasie smiles, her reflect her smile in return, "You are doing much better, just by being out. You know, we could have you visit with Rykos and him with you. Would that make you feel even better?" Kevlan blinkblinks, and slowly looks up again. "H-he cain't sing," he answers obliquely, and rather miserably. Tamber and Jerrik let the medic handle this, but the two exchange glances at Kevlan's words, clearly familiar with this little statement by now. Kasie nods, remembering something in a report from a earlyer medic. She missunderstands on purpose however, "I can't sing either Kevlan. I have a terrible voice, spent all my time learning to play the gitar and flute instead, I like to think I've gotten pretty good. Can you play?" Thoughts of your claims pass through your head every once in awhile. Non-singers around you see: Kevlan seems to be elsewhere occasionally. Kevlan blinks, and glances down suddenly at his hands. They're shaking, and after a moment, he shakes his head rapidly, not looking up. Tamber's eyebrows draw together; Jerrik glances at him around Kevlan and shakes his head slightly, reminding him to let Kasie handle this. Kasie slips down to her knees, "You know what I was told when I was a recruit Kevlan? I was told about this person down here on Ballybran that could help me. See, my gitar was broken..." she pauses for a few moments to see what reaction, if there are any. Kevlan sucks in a breath, his arms moving shakily to curl around his thin robed frame. He doesn't offer a vocal response, though. Tamber remarks almost airily to Kasie, "Indeed? How was it broken, good lady?" Kasie contunes as if not having seen your reaction, "The tension wouldn't hold the gitar strings in tune and with Guild Members, you sure can't play a instrument off key, they would jump down your back and indead the did." she smiles at the memory "I in turn gave them a bucket of water over the door, they got a bath." she smiles, trying to get Kevlan to look up, to smile. Kevlan peeks out from under his disheveled bangs. He is still blushing, as he stammers his way through a sentence that is probably intended to be, "Frets prob'ly got worn out, ma'am." Tamber hides a quick smile. Kasie smiles and nods, "Yes, thats what it was and I got it fixed eventualy. I don't play much any more unless I want to be alone and to just let myself think. I've learned to enjoy listening to other people play just as much. What I'm trying to say Kevlan, is if you loved playing so much, you have to keep trying to do what you loved doing, just for yourself." Kevlan then blanches, and hangs his head, whispering mournfully, "Ah... Ah c-cain't." Kasie reaches out her hand towards Kevlan, just holding it out for him to except or push away, "Will you let me help you try?" Jerrik nudges Kevlan gently, pointing out, "She wants to help you, son, just like Rhianna." Kasie looks away from Kevlan for just a moment, glancing between Tamber and Jerrik, her expression one of hope that she isn't hindering what has already been done. Kevlan seems to gain a little more assurance at Jerrik's words, and eyes Kasie shyly, slightly sideways. Like a child timidly taking a grownup's hand, he offers his own; his fingers are mostly smooth from weeks of doing nothing but resting and radiant soaking, but his fingertips still retain calluses that, after years of handling gitar strings, can't be entirely eradicated. Kevlan is still nevertheless clearly troubled. His hand shakes, in Kasie's. Tamber nods wordlessly to Kasie, remembering himself that Michael had suggested that consideration of Kevlan's own feelings should be a secondary concern in getting him to function again... Kasie puts her hand in Kevlan's, grasping gently with her fingers, smiling softly, "I'll help you Kevlan, that is a promise. Do you think you're ready for bed again?" Jerrik encourages, "Berni's there... " Kevlan brightens... just a little. "Ah-Ah-Ah wan' go back t' Berni... " Kasie smiles straightening up, "Do you need help getting him back to his room?" Tamber smiles wearily - showing it less visibly than Jerrik, but wearily nonetheless. "Thank you, but we shall do alright. He walked here under his own power." His tone holds pride. Jerrik grins at Kevlan, offering him a hand up. Kevlan takes it, and rises awkwardly. For just an instant he seems slightly dizzy, but the look passes. Thoughts of your claims pass through your head every once in awhile. Non-singers around you see: You get the feeling that something is slightly wrong as you gaze upon the worried face of Kevlan. Kasie smiles and nods, steping back, letting her hand give Kevlan one last squeeze before hand, "I'll come see you tomorrow Kevlan." Tamber assures Kasie, "Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, good lady. We shall see that our Galahad gets his proper knightly rest." Kasie smiles, "Thanks Tamber...I don't think he could be getting any better care then he is right now." Kevlan, standing now, nods shyly down to the meditech... and with that, his two friends escort him out. [End log.]
